I'm not sure I agree with that. Americans can be forgiving, but there's nothing we love more than putting someone on a pedestal, raising them as high as we can, then knocking them off when we think they've gotten too big.

Bookwomble Perhaps that's why Trump gets away with so much? He not only admits his ugly faults, he acts as though they are virtues. 4y

RamsFan1963 @Bookwomble You could be right. His supporter always say they like him cause he's a straight talker, says what he means. Then his poor handlers have to run around cleaning up the mess, explaining that what we heard isn't exactly what the President meant. Take for example the recent slip about cutting Social Security and Medicaid. He said he would cut them, his people said he didn't say it. 4y
