After watching the first few episodes of the Netflix series with Hubby, I just had to read this again.

This was my first introduction to the world of comics and it is still the set of comics I compare all the others against (not fair but it's the truth)
Even the second time around I was completely addicted and totally obsessed with this masterpiece.
Brilliant art work, the most imaginative story and relatable characters is my idea of perfection.

BehindthePages I want to read this now that I've watched the show! 4y
Enchanted_Bibliophile @Letora What I've seen so far was quite awesome. Even with there being a few differences. To me it's an excellent adaptation. But you know I'm going to say the 'book' is better 😉 4y

Just finished rereading this series so I can watch the Netflix adaptation. I‘m slightly apprehensive about the show since I love the comics so much. Here‘s hoping it‘s just as good!

Patchshank I loved the comic books. I had trouble getting into the series. But I think I just wasnt in the mood for TV. 4y
Tianarose I just finished the series. It‘s good but there are a few things that are very different from the Books. 4y
alisiakae I‘m 8 episodes into the Netflix adaptation and like it despite many things that are wildly different. I‘m glad I didn‘t read/watch back-to-back, or I would probably like it less. 4y

I finally finished the entire series! Soooo ssooooo soooo good! I definitely recommend everyone to check these out!!!! I wish there were more because I love the characters and I love that they were quick reads that I could fit into my schedule! If anyone has any other graphic novel suggestions like these please share!

KathyWheeler Saga, the Sandman series by Neil Gaiman, The Unwritten (think Harry Potter), and Paper Girls are all good. Locke & Key is probably my favorite. 5y
wtimblin I'm about to start on these. I recommend Outcast, Gideon Falls and Saga obvs! 5y
TieDyeDude All the likes! Locke & Key is amazing. I also read it through the library, but I really want to buy the set. I've enjoyed Sex Criminals, Y: The Last Man, and Blacksad. But Saga (available on Hoopla) and Gaiman's Sandman are essentials! 5y
BookaholicNatty @TieDyeDude I will definitely check out all the ones your suggested! I just started the Saga adventure! 5y

I sped through these horror graphic novels by expert writer and artist Hill and Garcia. I highly recommend if you're at all into horror / graphic novels. I really appreciated that neither felt the need to resort to the sex/rape themes in order to move their story along.. (there's just too much of that in most graphic novels for my preferences). I didn't heed my own advice, however, to not read before sleep. Last night was weird. 😳

Swe_Eva Such a fantastic series! Need to reread, for sure. 6y

1. I didn‘t really eat a proper lunch today. I had a Greek yogurt, a handful of almonds, and some cheez-its.

2. Just being a part of the community. 📚💞

3. I‘m new-ish to graphic novels (the last 3 years or so) the tagged series is the first non-superhero themed graphic novels that I read. It‘s a really good series.

4. Camping. ⛺️

5. Naps. 🛌

actualdisneyprincess Cheez-Its tho. 🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻 6y
That-Bookish-Hiker 🤤 cheez-it‘s. I‘m addicted to the ranch ones with ridges. I can‘t have a box cause I‘ll seriously eat it in one sitting lol. 6y
DGRachel I‘ve ALWAYS loved naps. 😂 6y

dragondrool Cheez-its could be considered a square meal, from a certain angle. 😆 6y
GypsyKat @actualdisneyprincess @That-Bookish-Hiker @MinDea @dragondrool Haha! Cheese-its are the best! 😆 6y
GypsyKat @DGRachel I didn‘t fully appreciate them until I was in high school. 6y

More news for Locke & Key fans. I love this series!? But hey, can we stop just calling Joe Hill "Stephen King's son"? He's his own person, and an excellent writer.

Snow I just got all excited when I googled the trailer, because it looked AWESOME, then come to find out it was for a canceled one from 2011 😏 7y
GypsyKat @Snow It is going forward though! 👍 7y
[DELETED] 3803335244 I agree, just Joe Hill or Joe King. I mean he's obviously proved himself in the literary world. I haven't read this series yet! My son is more of a Hill & King fan than I am. 7y
Snow @GypsyKat but isn't it from scratch? I didn't think it was using the same cast/pilot ☹️ 7y
GypsyKat @Snow It's not the same as the one that was cancelled, but the project is going forward. 7y
Snow @GypsyKat well I'm sure it'll still be great! I just thought the former trailer looked awesome 😁 7y

I'm so sad to be finished with this series. I stretched out my reading experience for-ev-er because I was savoring every panel. Loved the plot, loved the art, loved the characters. (I don't really have the Slipcase Set, but this was the only isbn I could find that covered all 6 volumes.)

KCorter This series was so good! It was my introduction to Joe Hill, and I fell in love from the first page.😍 Kinsey is the coolest. 7y
Brooke_H @KCorter Joe Hill is the BEST. I've read everything now, and he never disappoints. 7y
KCorter So have I! Joe Hill needs to hurry up and release 7y
Brooke_H @KCorter Yesssssss 7y
KCorter I won an Amazon gift card from the library during the summer reading program and I knew it was going straight to a pre-order of Strange Weather. Haha 7y
