I don‘t know why but I was expecting way more from this book! I was hoping it‘d be longer but sadly it wasn‘t. However, I‘ll miss this series, it ended earlier than I would have liked 😔
“Come, let us charm and confound our subjects.” - Cardan
This pretty much sums up this book. This and, “By you, I am forever undone.” From The Cruel Prince to the the last page, delicious. Make sure you read the letters at the very end from Cardan to Jude, they are like a cherry on top.
I am so utterly disappointed in this book. I was so hyped for it and it was just bad. No crazy twists, no build up, no suspense, no actual fights or wars just all talk. And what happened at the end of book 2 was POINTLESS !! Lady Asha was POINTLESS!! It just focused on Jude and Cardan and their love. It was so overly SAFE that it ruined the trilogy for me.

Wonderful ending to a wonderful series. Loved the growth of all character, especially Jude. Such great maturation between the 1st & 3rd books. There were parts when I laughed out loud, parts when I gasped, parts when I cried, and even some warm fuzzies. Going to miss these characters.
I was not expecting this book until 2020 so when I saw a review on Litsy I had to get myself a copy immediately 😁 The third and final book in The Folk of the Air series. I loved it. Wish I hadn't read it so quickly! 😊 ⭐⭐⭐⭐
Saw this on the Penguin Random House insta & thought I‘d bring it over to Litsy!
Which character would you bring to Thanksgiving dinner? Or, which fictional family‘s Thanksgiving would you want to crash?!
I‘d love to crash Thanksgiving in Faerie with Jude & Cardan & Taryn & Vivi & the Court of Shadows (Even though I‘d be terrified like 95% of the time & it‘d probably end in a bloodbath 🤷🏻♀️)

I ship Cardan and Jude super hard. But, I feel like this book was rushed in their time together and just in general. Something was missing and I feel like the book could have been developed a bit better and longer. There were no twists that made me gasp, they just made me guess in advance. #thecruelprince #thewickedking #cardan #jude #cardanxjude #hollyblack #thequeenofnothing #bibliophile #bookstagram #litsy #littens #read
I loved everything about this book. @hermyknee @HOTPock3tt my only regret was I could not put it down and it went so quickly! @Avanders I look forward to seeing what you think of this trilogy. @cobwebmoth have you read these books?
Per the request of @hermyknee 😘😘
All 3 owlcrate special edition copies of the Folk of the Air series (on the left) and their beautiful naked covers... and for comparison, the B&N special editions for the 2nd & 3rd (I don‘t have the first) and their beautiful naked covers.
Happy to blow anything up for you... let me know!
Now I just need to find the time to *read* these!!
I did not want this story to end , but all good things must come to an end. I‘m truly going to miss the characters ( not Taryn).. I guess I imagined that the story would continue over the expanse of five or six books. Obviously, that was wishful thinking. Still, I am satisfied with the ending. #hollyblack #thequeenofnothing
I regret going back to this series, because it blindsindedly ruined me. I didn‘t expect to get sucked into it, especially after the first book left me with only a meh feeling, but that was because I hadn‘t known the characters well enough yet. But now I do, and I need more! Why was it over and why was it so short? The one thing I have to say is that it was very rushed, but that didn‘t stop me from enjoying it till the very last word. #bookhangover
I devoured this book and then I was sorry I finished it so quickly. I will miss Jude and the other characters, along with the complicated and unpredictable court intrigue. I hope to see more like this series from Holly Black in the future.
Man! You put Cardan and Jude in a room and you get the flashback heat of a blazing fire. Add in the faerie realm as imagined by Holly Black and a fitting ending to this trilogy and most readers will not only be supremely happy but will also be left wanting just a little bit more. Well done!
The conclusion of this amazing series ☺️ I‘m still shocked by how the author manages to blend faerieland +the modern world so seamlessly. Lots of shocking twists and turns in this one!😃Yet I still feel like I got what I was hoping for in the character scenarios etc. So many intriguing characters and we got to see layers of them. A few minor gripes and not as flawless as “the wicked king” but definitely brilliant and worth the wait ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ 1/2
This was everything I was looking for and more What a perfect ending to a phenomenal trilogy! 🖤🖤🖤

This was a pleasant surprise.
TWK felt rushed, and this being even shorter didn‘t seem promising 😬
Instead this ended up being my favorite of the three.
It stretches redemption a bit, but it also answers questions, presents new challenges, shows different perspectives, adds dimension to familiar characters, and it ends the tale in a very satisfying way.
Well, I read the whole thing in a day, so I guess that tells you I enjoyed it! A really fun and wild end to this trilogy, and for me a stronger book than the second. Definitely a few 🤯 moments, and some great twists. I do still have a bit of a hard time with Jude and Cardan‘s relationship and wish this had been a little longer to give that process more depth, but even so, it was still INTERESTING. I‘ll just add—🐍🐍🐍🐍🐍 holy crap, LOL. 4/5 ⭐️
“It‘s ridiculous the way everyone acts like killing a king is going to make someone better at being one,” Vivi says. “Imagine if, in the mortal world, a lawyer passed the bar by killing another lawyer.”
[Yo Netflix, 10/10 would watch that series kthx]
I won‘t lie, I was pretty disappointed when I realized I wouldn‘t be able to get the #OwlCrate edition of Queen of Nothing. It was just too expensive and OC put a lot of unnecessary stress around ordering. I was ready to give away my copies & call it quits.
I‘m so glad I didn‘t! I picked up the B&N exclusive edition today and it fits right in with my other two! They make a gorgeous and unique set put all together 🖤
Things work out 🥰
After filming my unboxing (it‘s pretty amateur, LOL, but you can watch it over on Instagram if you want! I‘m alisonrose711 over there) for the @owlcrate limited edition box for #thequeenofnothing I just couldn‘t wait to actually read the book, and I have a feeling I might just blow through the whole thing today. (Also, hi #booksnake! 🐍)
