Not bad, but forgettable
Wow! This book was something else. My rating is still swinging between a 3.5 and 4 star. I enjoyed the twists, but I also felt like I knew what was going to happen, but not exactly how. That‘s where I was shocked. I will definitely be reading more Hannah Mary McKinnon.
Omg!! This book is sooo good! Loved every page. Abby loses her brother in a drunk driving accident. She blames herself and pushes away the love of her life Liam to punish herself. 20 years later Abby her husband and teen daughter have new neighbors, guess who?? Liam and his family, bringing up all kinds of guilt and feelings Abby thought she had left all this behind.
Feelings I had pushed down to the very bottom of my heart and wrapped in the biggest chains possible were rattling, Struggling to be freed. I could feel them making a break for the surface, Traveling throughout my entire body, And I had to get them back under control.
So I strongly disliking Nancy so far. She's coming off a little needy & insecure. Granted she may have reason to but it hasn't presented itself to her yet. Stop comparing yourself to other couples !!
#unpopularopinion I‘m on the fence about rating this one a pick. It was more “so-so” because most of the twists weren‘t really that twisty. If you‘re a big fan of psychological thrillers, you might want to skip this one. Even the “big” twist at the very end wasn‘t unexpected. Only one thing that happened took me by surprise. I guess it was a mildly entertaining way to spend 4 hours.
I‘m encouraging myself to finish my work quickly this morning so I can start a new book. #adulting is hard sometimes.
This was so good! Unexpected turns during the last 20% of the book were definitely crazy! You think you know how it will end...
⭐⭐⭐✨
I actually thought this was a bit long and drawn out. I also wasn't 100% convinced of the reason why Abby felt it necessary to leave Liam in the first place. The last few chapters were probably the best part of the book, where you do find out a few twists to the story. The writing was good but it was just ok for me.

Recommended to me by a friend who enjoyed this, I‘m enjoying it!
I‘m not sure where this is going yet but I‘m enjoying the ride.
This one has been sitting in my TBR pile for a long time. It‘s entertaining and all, but I don‘t think you‘re supposed to laugh out loud at the denouement of a serious domestic thriller.

When you‘re reading a book and it seems pretty average- marriage problems, family drama, secrets... until you get to the last few chapters and WOAH. That freaking ending! 😲😩 Very well-done. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Former sweethearts separate, move away, and begin families with other people. Years later they end up being neighbors. Sparks reignite as they try to deny ever knowing each other.
Told from multiple perspectives, the characters were easy to relate to. It was an easy read that quickly grabbed my attention and held it to the very end. Definitely recommend it!
I stayed up all night to finish this book....OMG 😱
I enjoyed this book from beginning to end, especially the very end. Oh the secrets and lies!
Well, I read this in one day and stayed up til 2:30 reading so I think that‘s all you need to know.

With the characters in this book there are a couple of stories where todays prompt fits nicely.
There are quite a few books out about neighbors & secrets this one defiantly stands out for me. Without giving anything away all I'll say is once the secrets start to unravel you won't be able to put it down. And that ending OMG!!! Loved this one!! It is written from multiple points of view which makes the chapters nice & quick gives a great flow to the story.

My husband picked up my library hold for me & sent me a pic of it along with his space jam bank. He sent a message that said "I dunno what the neighbors secret is in your book but mine is this bank i still have at my parents place lol" He cracks me up???
A SIZZLER! An entertaining story filled with a web of secrets and scandalous escapades that complicate the lives of the Jefferson‘s and the Morris‘s.
Suspenseful and twisty, and THAT ending just flew out of nowhere. Wow. I really enjoyed this - a must read. 4.5 ☆
“Health is the greatest gift, contentment the greatest wealth, faithfulness the best relationship. “ - Buddha This afternoon the Girls and I decided to bake a variety of Banana Muffins. Perfect activity for a cold dreary day! Really enjoying The Neighbors! @hannahmarymckinnon I can‘t wait to jump back in later tonight! Happy Saturday everyone!
I was absolutely not expecting that sort of ending! Everything up to the last three or four chapters was predictable yet still captivating, and I just couldn‘t stop reading after about page 200. Glad I paid attention to the sponsored book in the #bookriot email!
A recent #bookriot email had an ad for this book and the blurb intrigued me so I looked into it. It sounded super interesting and I‘ve been going back and forth for a few days debating if I should order it or not... finally caved today and had to buy the ebook! Can‘t wait to get started.
