This was great! I know the "current" chapters were necessary but the historical parts of the story were absolutely riveting.

1942. Greenland. A plane of men goes down, the plane of men sent to rescue them goes down, the plane of men sent to rescue the downed rescuers goes down…😬
So much survival, so much hardship, so much ice, so much hope. I loved it! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Found myself reading well after my normal lights out. Harrowing and sad but a reminder of how heroic people can be. It really touched me to hear about the families left behind. Only drawback were the chapters on the current discovery; that just didn‘t seem to jive with me.
#MOvember #Frozen Another song that gives me an 👂🏼🐛🎶 After reading and LOVING Fall and Rise by Zuckoff, I immediately checked out his backlist. I borrowed this #NF audio from Hoopla but it didn‘t hold my interest 🥶🤭maybe print would be better🤔
(Disclaimer: I listened to the Audio) For fans of history, adventure and treasure hunts, this book will capture you. The search for lost WWII planes and crew, with retrospective narrative about what the crews were going through at the time of being lost. The writing was clear and concise, with a storyline that was hard to turn off.

So I don't use a bullet journal, but I do track my TBR and books read in my planner
Catching up on #newyearreads Day 5: Reading goals 2018
Looks like a lot of Littens are hitting their #100 books read this year! Count me in! I'm thinking I need to raise my goal for next year... #BlameLitsy
Wow! Edge-of-your-seat thrills, heartbreak, and survival. So glad I read this account of heroes from WWII!
This was a fun, fast read. I'd recommend it if you're interested in WWII, Greenland or like real-life adventure stories. #LitsyAtoZ @BookishMarginalia
A Rear Admiral AND a Phd from Harvard? Whoa, that's impressive.
Cross-country (and cross-borders) #roadtrip means lots of time for #audiobooks! This one is about some #WWII #history I didn't know about. Fascinating!
Couldn't put it down! Reminiscent of Into Thin Air.
Non-fiction books are my FAVORITE. I love rescue stories, celebrity memoirs, history books, travel memoirs, American politics, sailing stories, food memoirs, etc. I've got bookcases full of these. I ❤️ it all because I get to live vicariously through these experiences, instead of being stuck in a small Alabama town. #septphotochallenge #nonfiction 📚👘🌎✈️🗿(Btw, I love a good nonfiction recommendation!)
