For almost the whole of 2023 this book has been hunting me. I read quotes from it (Trust), characters adores it (Time Shelter) and some hated it (Muss ich das gelesen haben?). So I decided it's time for a re-read. But when I pulled my book out of my shelf I held this 1000 pages chunkster in my hand and asked myself “Do I really want to read this?“. Well... Then I opened the first page and in my early-twenties handwriting I had written there ⬇
So I decided to compromise. Usually, I don't listen to abridged audio books, but here it seemed legit. I could reread the book, while not forcing myself through the whole thing.
My version still had 15 CDs. It was gently abdriged, as the publisher stated and it had the perfect narrator. Gert Westphal totally fits into this world, his voice transporting us into this not-place, wildly debating philisophical questions. 7mo
