We‘ve headed into the mountains today, and even climbed Ben Nevis. #VirtualTour

How‘s the start to your weekend been? I spent a large part of the day watching Phantom of the Ooera, thanks @Ms_T What a true delight!

CocoReads 30 minutes of work left. Yesterday‘s snow is gone and I defied the parking order and parked down by the river-it‘s a skeleton crew today so I figured I could take advantage of that. 😁 I‘m a rebel! 5y
DieAReader Sluggish today thanks to a very long & frustrating night with very little actual 😴. Thankfully getting some reading done. Still hoping to meet my book goal for #BFChabit #28dayBFC @wanderinglynn 🤞🏻I‘m at 4/5 books but I‘m chomping through a few different open books in hopes of reaching goal by midnight! My best bet is this one at 65% (I started it yesterday morning. MEGA thanks to @GHABI4ROSES for the GR sprints 😉🥰 5y

TrishB Lovely pics ❤️ love Fort William and that coast. 5y
LiteraryinPA Thanks for the check in! I‘ve been feeling strangely motivated to do actual work for my job even though it‘s the weekend. I‘m making good progress and am now going to take a break to read. Last night I was enjoying folding origami cranes. It was a relaxing repetitive thing that I found centering. Sending love to everyone in the Litsy family. 5y
Andrew65 @CocoReads Hope your foot feels better, parking by the river sounds ideal! 5y
Andrew65 @TrishB it is a special piece of the country. 5y
Andrew65 @SquidgetsRoomReading is good because helps balance us, key in these times. Hope you get some better sleep tomorrow. 5y
Andrew65 @LiteraryinLititz If you feel it, don‘t fight it. Sounds quite a good balanced day. Have a good evening. 5y
Hooked_on_books I‘m loving all your Scotland pictures! The highlands are 😍 5y
Andrew65 @Hooked_on_books They are and good to see you are enjoying the pictures. 😊 5y
JacqMac We spent all morning watching The Phantom, too. It was amazing! Not a bad day today. I went for groceries yesterday. It‘s such an eerie experience and it really turns up my anxiety. So today is a recovery day. Trying to mostly avoid the internet and do some reading. 5y
Andrew65 @JacqMac It was amazing and came across very well in the film, such voices and to be able to sing like that! Yes shopping now is very anxiety ridden and an expedition like climbing Everest! Yes reading and no internet news is a good plan! (edited) 5y
tracey38 After waking up at 6am with a monster migraine, I finally got it to die down a bit by 10am where I could get up and shower and felt half human! I still have that lingering headache but I can eat and be up and do some reading. Yesterday was just a lost cause. Beautiful mountain pictures of Scotland! 5y
tracey38 @CocoReads you rebel you! Sounds good to me though! 😁 5y
Andrew65 @tracey38 You really are having a tough time of it! Sending best wishes and positive thoughts. Take care and look after yourself. 🥰 Reading sounds a good relaxing decision. 5y
kezzlou85 Been raining most of the day here so not done much but read and do some girly pampering with my youngest. 5y
TheSpineView Another beautiful day and I spent most of the day at the barn helping out since they are short handed. I rode a little too which always improves my day. Overall it was awesome. 5y
Andrew65 @kezzlou85 Sounds a great idea. 👍 5y
Andrew65 @TheSpineView Sounds a great day. 5y
Kelly_the_Bookish_Sidekick Today is a decent day. My bf had to go into work for a few hours this morning so I was up early, too. A little reading & yoga, a walk with the dog, Zoom call with friends, and now a little work so I'm not rushing to finish on Monday. The Scottish mountains look beautiful today! 5y
JanuarieTimewalker13 Hey Andrew, recently I saw a photo from Scotland with 2 horse heads in a silver sculpture, I think it was Scotland. Do you know anything about that sculpture? It was so cool. I‘ve been extremely lazy today and I‘m a little freaked out by NY‘s COVID19 numbers bc most of my family and friends live there. I‘ve been trying to combat the blues with creative journaling. It helps. And reading, of course, helps. Hope you are doing well! (edited) 5y
Birdsong28 What wonderful views 😍 5y
Andrew65 @JanuarieTimewalker13 I presume you mean the kelpies, think I drove past them on one occasion. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Kelpies Statistics also not good to UK, ranging between 700 - 900 people dying daily and around 4000 - 5000 cases and these are only the hospital deaths. 😢 Worst in London here where most of my family live so can understand fully. Reading is my escapism from it all! Better today than yesterday where had trouble kicking 5y
Andrew65 @JanuarieTimewalker13 in to touch the low mood. 5y
Andrew65 @Birdsong28 Yes they are, amazing the difference in feel between the East and West coast. 5y
Velvetfur Oohh I've been on a short hike around the base of Ben Nevis, went to Fort William too, woohoo! Also went to the Isle of Mull, and that's everywhere I've been in Scotland, hehehe 😁 Thank you for the pictures and the reminder 😊 5y
Velvetfur @SquidgetsRoom Sorry to hear of your bad night's sleep, I hope that doesn't happen again tonight xxx 5y
Velvetfur @tracey38 Sorry to hear of that evil migraine, they're so horrible and I'm glad you started to feel better xxx 5y
Velvetfur @Andrew65 Oh I watched that programme this evening, the 3-part drama about the Who Wants To Be A Millionaire coughing scandal! Have you seen it? It was fantastic, the guy who played Chris Tarrant was unbelievable, I thought I was watching Chris himself! I think I heard somewhere that the actor is Michael Sheen... Anyway, that was my days enjoyment, hehehe 😊 5y
LiteraryinPA @JacqMac I found that same thing the last time I went to the store. It took a lot to steel myself for the experience and then it was hard to recenter afterwards. Be nice to yourself today. 💜 5y
TheBookHippie Beautiful pics! It‘s my day off of news and most internet. Love the phantom -it‘s a favorite ! I cooking and creating new recipes today. My zen. Low mood as well. These check ins help ❤️ 5y
DieAReader @Andrew65 thanks! Now I just have to stay awake long enough to make it to bed time 😬 It‘s 6:30pm my time now 🤞🏻 5y
DieAReader @Velvetfur I also hope it‘s not a trend. I‘ll be setting up a spare bed in my reading room just in case. That way I won‘t worry about keeping Kev awake all night. Unfortunately it‘s not the first (& likely not the last) time this has happened. 🥺😬 5y
DieAReader @JacqMac I‘ve been avoiding the grocery store for almost 4 weeks. Meant to go last week, but...maybe Monday. I did buy a couple things Monday but I only went to Giant Tiger so it wasn‘t bad. Rest up & re-center yourself. Much love! 📚🥰 5y
mom2bugnbee Not gonna lie, today was rough. My older daughter is a high school senior & tonight was supposed to be prom. She's in her room as we speak, in her gown, in a Zoom call with several of her classmates. It's bittersweet, & I had a good cry. Reading is keeping me sane! 5y
Crewgurl We all slept in and got a late start this morning and had a very chill day. I took some me time for a workout and a bit of relaxing. How are you @Andrew65 ? 5y
Velvetfur @SquidgetsRoom Separate bed is a good idea 👍 Many hugs to you xxx 5y
JanuarieTimewalker13 Yes!!! Andrew!! Thank you!! The Kelpies! Ok, I will read about them! And I know, this is hard and scary and if you‘re in an area with large numbers, it‘s frightening, but what we must keep in mind is that they also have large populations. I think they should really talk about per capita rates, you know? If there‘s a small town with 10 cases, it‘s probably equivalent to a city with 10,000 cases. I‘m trying to keep perspective. 5y
IamIamIam I missed your post because we watched Phantom yesterday too!!! I've seen it on Broadway but it was wonderful to see the inside of the Royal Albert Hall!! Gorgeous! Speaking of gorgeous... more lovely coastlines! I'm missing the ocean being stuck inside. I think next week we're going to have to take a field trip to the beach. 💓 5y
Andrew65 @Velvetfur Glad we could resurrect some memories. No not seen that film yet. Want to watch Michael Sheen and David Tennant in Good Omens. 5y
Andrew65 @TheBookHippie Low mood is almost our defiant mechanism at the moment. Pleased to see the check ins help. Sending virtual hugs. 🥰 5y
Andrew65 @mom2bugnbee That must be so tough for those expecting to have a Prom to go to, sending positive thoughts. 5y
Andrew65 @Crewgurl Yesterday was better whilst I avoided the Internet and got stuck onto my reading, made a mistake of reading news today which had a bit of an impact. 5y
Andrew65 @JanuarieTimewalker13 Definitely better to look at per capita rates, but also in more urban areas like London and New York also easier to pass on the virus. 5y
Andrew65 @IamIamIam Yes most definitely missing oceans and water! Phantom was brilliant. 5y
GHABI4ROSES Thank YOU @SquidgetsRoom 💖 5y
DieAReader @Velvetfur especially when we both toss & turn often writhing in physical pain. I‘ve gone through many situations (physical/mental/emotional) where I‘ve spent several weeks sleeping in the couch. In our newest & current apartment we have 3 bedrooms & being as it‘s just Kev & I with no children (current or future) we opted to each have our own individual personal space. His is a home office set up whereas mine is a reading room. It‘s perfect! 📚🎶 5y
DieAReader @Andrew65 I definitely feel for all HS graduates that are missing out on the fanfare of prom. My niece was just getting kind of excited about it. Went dress shopping with her dad & found one too. That was mid February. Now there‘s no prom. 🤦🏻‍♀️Highly unlikely anything organized online either. Makes me sad for her, all of them😭 5y
Andrew65 @SquidgetsRoom One hopes the school organises something for them in Autumn Term. 5y
JanuarieTimewalker13 Yes, that‘s very true!! Densely populated! 5y
Velvetfur @SquidgetsRoom That does sound like a perfect set up to me! 😊 5y
DieAReader @Andrew65 that‘s assuming there‘s enough graduates around to do anything for. Jobs, moved away (college, university 🧐) ect.. Have to wait & see I guess 5y
DieAReader @Velvetfur we are very fortunate for sure! 😇🥰 5y
