Didn‘t see the first twist. Guessed the second fairly quickly after that. Really enjoyed the first half but felt the second half wasn‘t as satisfying.

I finished this book, and immediately wondered why I hadn‘t come up with the ending before it came to me because geez, of course. I guess It was one of those reads where I was intrigued with what/why of now and didn‘t consider what might happen next. …Assisted with book pic by the first born of my first born!
Overall, I liked this book. The first half was kind of boring.
The second half... I am kind of obsessed. Sure, would any of this happen? Probably not. But I gotta give props to the main character, because some of the stuff she did was very creative.
The first twist was awesome. The others, eh. Predictable.

Also, got this super nice bookmark for Christmas ❤️

I was really disappointed with this one. I feel like the author was trying too hard to create a twist of "guess who's done it"? It didn't make any sense.
I waffled between a so-so and a pan, but ultimately had to swing to pan because the more I think about it, the more irritated I get. On the positive side (✅), I did not guess the twists right. On the negative side(❌), the twists felt like they were there for more immediate shock value, and it didn't feel like the rationale behind certain convoluted motivations were ever fleshed out enough to explain the WHY of it all. Bizarre. #BOTM
There is something about the way that this author writes his female main characters that I do not care for. I think some male authors write well from the female perspective & some do not. His previous book left me feeling the same way about the tone of his protagonist. Also, this book was super repetitive. It was like there was a challenge to see how many times the word monozygotic could be used. Not my favorite. ⭐⭐💫
Ridiculous. Convoluted twists for the sake of surprising the reader but just make no sense. 🤦♀️
AUTHORS! We need to STOP framing asexuality as a "lifestyle choice" and start genuinely advocating for/validating all LGBTQIA+ identities ??
This is the third newly-published book (and the second BOTM pick) over the past year that I've seen do this so blatently.... reminds me that among the progress, we still have quite a ways to go! #botm

When Molly‘s identical twin, KT, is found dead in her NYC apartment, she leaves the familiarity of her London flat to join her parents Stateside. Determined to find out what happened, she starts her own investigation, but all is not as it seems. I loved Dean‘s novel The Last Thing to Burn, but this book felt contrived and I just didn‘t get anyone‘s motivation for behaving the way they did. Easy to read but ultimately disappointing.
COVID Day 5…so more reading. I‘ve seen a lot of Littens reading this, and I have FOMO, so diving in🤣
Current reading spot on a glorious day in rural New Brunswick.
I really enjoyed this book! It was full of twists that I didn‘t see coming and I love to read books like that! I definitely plan on reading more from this author especially if they are thrillers!
I received a copy of this book from the publisher and Goodreads in exchange for an honest review!
Beginning was painfully slow, then the last couple chapters were awesome. 3⭐

Happy Pub Week! I simply can‘t resist a twin story- particularly about identical twins! This one opens with Molly, receiving the news that her sister, Katie, has died in NYC. Battling her own anxiety, she joins her parents & embarks on her own investigation into Katie‘s life. With plenty of suspects, the storyline involves some genuinely shocking twists! I can see this being a popular #BOTM and a definite discussion starter! I really enjoyed it!
⭐️⭐️
The first half was kind of a drag, the second half was senseless and implausible, the final twist was predictable. Also the multiple references to adult diapers… just… nope. 🎧
New York, London, twins, a murder, and many questions.
A clever, twisty story line with some bizarre happenings and a surprise ending.
Have YOU read it or do YOU plan to read it?

This book was excellent, his best one yet (and I‘ve read all of his). Run to the bookstore to buy it, you won‘t be disappointed as the twists in this one were amazing. 5 ⭐️

REVIEW 7/ 8
New York, London, twins, a murder, and many questions.
Twisty, so good, and a read you won‘t be able to put down.
There is an undertone of mistrust with each character, and that includes the parents and the twins.
A very clever story line with some bizarre and unbelievable happenings but a story line that will keep you turning the pages.
The ending is another surprise. 5/5
