Arriman is a powerful black wizard who‘s decided he needs to get married. Belladonna is a good witch who wants to be bad, but can she stop conjuring flowers and baby animals to become dark?
This was a super cute book. It definitely has a dark streak in it! All the characters are fun, and I love that her name is belladonna (I see you, poison plant!). I laughed out loud a few times, and thoroughly enjoyed it. Very quick read.

I can‘t remember what e-newsletter mentioned this book and that‘s driving me nuts, but the book itself was delightful. It‘s charming and fun and something I‘m sure I would have enjoyed as a young reader. I love all the unique witches familiars and the Kraken. Oh my goodness...the baby Kraken was too cute. I wish I had kids to share this with.

I think I saw this mentioned in a Book Riot newsletter and I just had to have it. I can‘t even remember why, but I ordered it right away and I think I‘m going to put all other books aside and read it now. 😂 Photobomb courtesy of #Bailey

This was one of my favorite "scary" reads as a kid (and I still love re-reading it!). It's full of so many wonderfully weird characters, and balances whimsy with just the right hints of darkness.
