Kitta Good plan, I‘m picking up the books today from my independent bookstore! I could get most on Libby but the wait for Tilt and Death of the author was 24 weeks! I might start audition early when I‘m done with my current read 2w

Not much reading has happened this week, work been very busy and I‘ve been busy celebrating Liverpool as Premier League Champions 🏆♥️
Senseless was a good thriller.
Small Rain was a great read.
Savage, Noble Death was recommended in The Guardian crime reads but it just didn‘t do it for me. Just a bit meh.

Kitta I‘ve heard good things about Small Rain from other littens. Might add it to my TBR. 1mo

My reading this week:
Finished Alexandria:
Finished In Bloom:
Read:
- 108 pages of Daltrey‘s autobiography;
- 138 pages of Appassionata;
- 69 pages of Mania;
- 91 pages of Our Man In Havana.

I‘m happy with that. It‘s been a busy week so midweek reading was minimal, but I managed to get some done on Good Friday and Saturday.

I think this week, I‘ll finish Daltrey and Our Man In Havana.

Finished: really didn‘t like The Golden Spruce and how the author took way too long to set up the story, but I really liked the stuff about the person who allegedly chopped this specific tree down. Enjoyed High Society and The Sky is Falling much more; reviews are forthcoming.

Contd in the comments section

melissajayne Currently reading: I will have to restart Homecoming. Billy Boyle is a book that I am reading as an ebook and have had issues with my tablet. DQ is a readalong book with the From the Front Porch podcast; it‘s their Conquer a Classic pick for this year. Contd below 3mo
melissajayne I‘m mainly reading Cerulean Sea but finding it a bit slower than other books that I have read recently; I‘m about a 1/3 into the book and I hope the book will pick up a bit more soon. ‘67 is a non-fiction read for my Silent Online bookclub that I found on Facebook; the theme for March is books with a sports theme. I just started reading it on Saturday and based on what I have read, it seems fascinating 3mo
melissajayne I also am very aware of the 50+ year drought that the Maple Leafs have had with not winning the Stanley Cup and how much this particular team (and city for the most part) comes off with a holier than thou mentality (there is an attitude of how Canada revolves around TO, with it being a centre of finance and entertainment in Canada). 3mo

I miss doing a #BookReport and miss @Cinfhen leading the way.

Colored Television was good on audio. I said “Oh, Jane!” numerous times. I‘m glad I stuck it out.

The Lost Passenger was enjoyable. Ultimately an immigrant story set in NYC. It has a lighter tone than most I‘ve read with this time and setting.

The Bell Jar was hard. After sitting on my shelf for years, I‘m grateful to finally have read it. #HashtagBrigade

Cley 6/10
Small World 7.5/10

And read a further 73 pages of the #Chunkster The Bonfire of the Vanities
