A not much reading week: a work trip to Bahrain that was an adventure (or a nightmare depending on your approach to life)
The weather going out there, multiple changes of flight times/paths etc as we were supposed to fly into Dubai.
Then the worry about missiles/war etc flying back.
I read The Murder House on outgoing flight & started the Keyes coming back. Was too exhausted by then to read much. Have a great weekend ♥️

#finished: I finished quite a number of books this past week, due in large part to #deweysreadathon that was held on Saturday and the fact that I had two book club meetings last week (finished my other book last week). Reviews of these books will be forthcoming this week.

Loved The Book of Doors ❤️
The Forgotten Holocaust was good- not the best in the series, but an action packed read.
Reading Has Anyone Seen at the moment.

Empire was a big book and took most of the week with work commitments as always! Loved it.
Cheater was a good Rose book- not as gruesome as some of hers, enjoying this series.

According to my IPad my screen time was up 20%, I‘ve watched a ton of Friends episodes and haven‘t read very much at all. Love, Theoretically was #52Bookclub24 #WomeninStem and just ok for me. I am behind on both buddy reads and decided to DNF #TheBros. Enjoying The Biography of X. And have still only read one of the stories from Florida. 🤞🏼 for a better reading week. Next up Hello Beautiful and Let Us Descend.

A busy week = less reading time. Mama Love and Uncle Tom‘s were both great and I enjoyed the Nancy Drew. Happiness Falls was a so-so for me. I‘m behind on #TheBros #buddyread by several chapters so that‘s my main focus. Not very far into any of my In Progress books.

Lots of good books this last week. Loved Mrs. Palfrey and the Winterson. We Were Once a Family was another gripping nonfiction read. All my current books are in the beginning chapters so it to early to say much but I‘m more into The Ferryman and Mama Love so far.

The Art of Prophecy- I did not like the MC in this, though loved the supporting characters. Unsure whether I‘ll read the next one.
Escape Artist was sad (obvious I know) but informative and engaging.
Enjoying Mobility at the moment.

My last book report for January. Finished three buddy reads Cooking for Picasso, Return of the King and The Spectacular. They were ok but the others I finished were better.

#BookReport Not a stinker in the bunch. Poverty and Finding Me both 5 🌟. Enjoying the daily dose of classical music with Year of Wonder although not all the selections are my cup of tea. Hope to finish Heaven & Earth today and then pick up Same Bed, Different Dreams for #LitsyTOB. Not sure what my audio book will be yet…maybe The Overstory.

Forbidden Notebook is my favorite at the moment.
You, Again is going to be set aside for now.
The Good Wife of Bath is the biggest surprise because I don‘t usually like historical fiction from this period.

And I checked out The Neighbor Favor because I saw many people posting about it!!

Lots of staying home last week = lots more reading time. Favorite of the week is Mercy House on audio. Just started Finding Me on audio and slowly making my way through Poverty, both from my #AuldLangSpine list. Still enjoying Year of Wonder and just a few chapters in Idlewild. I put An Immense World in hibernation until my Libby audio hold comes in. I‘m finding it hard to stay focused in print. Staying caught up on buddy reads.

Finished The Bookbinder and Where is Anne Frank this week (both were fairly quick reads for me) and DNF'd Wreck the Halls. I completed about 31% of Wreck the Halls and just couldn't go any further.

#BookReport Haven‘t done a book report since October so starting fresh with the New Year. I‘m about halfway through Mobility. I started in December but wasn‘t feeling it. Picked it up Friday and it was a much better reading experience. Sometimes it‘s not the book it‘s the timing. Hope to finish today and make progress on Julia.
