Spot the book that isn‘t *real*!?
These are all the books I read this year 😁 I read 20 books (3 a reread) which I am pretty pleased with considering I only read a small amount last year due to moving a few times and having my books in boxes for most of the year 😢📦 Yay to not having to move this year haha and also finding time to read whenever I could 🙌📚 There were a few super late nights but it was well worth it 😅😉

Very much enjoyed this story. Kirra's father Lark has moved in with his pregnant girlfriend, her mother is an alcoholic, she's talking to a ghost via pay phone, and she soon finds herself the odd one out with her group of friends. A story of self discovery, this was a perfect balance of serious and humor.
I thought I was going to have a lot of issues with this book, but fortunately it was a pleasant surprise! I really enjoyed this #loveozya read

Happy Friday, Littens! Day 2 of the June #riotgrams challenge: #yellowcovers ... and errr, spines count too, right?! Obviously not a lot of yellow books in my collection. But #BOTM to the rescue--realized all 3 are Book of the Month choices!
Just another Saturday night. Long weekends are so rough....
It's tough to talk about a book that has been nominated for a literary award and yet is problematic both structurally and in subject matter. Lucky I have coffee and ultimate chocolate chip cookie to help me sort through my thoughts. Struggled a lot with this book.
Cover 💛
Also Eeyore in my Venetian mask is 😍
They would be pretty. Their eyes and lips and noses are arranged in all the proper proportions. They would be pretty, except for the furious expressions they're all wearing as they look at me. #loveozya #openinglines
Beautifully, almost poetically written debut YA novel from Australia which blew me away. I inhaled this book yesterday in one single day, which doesn't happen often, for me, on audiobook. Very well narrated. 4.5 out of 5 ⭐️. #loveOzYA
#seasonsreadings2016 #day20 #TitlesStartingWithXYZ Yellow is the wall behind & Yellow is the name of the book. Gorgeous #loveozya novel by an Australian author, set in a small town near Byron Bay in NSW. Kirra is a 14yr old girl, bullied at school, neglected at home, she picks up the payphone one day when it rings & finds the ghost of a teenage boy on the line. He promises to help her if she finds out who murdered him 20yrs ago. Loved it❤️
It's close to midnight and something evil's lurking in the dark 🌜just kidding! It's after midnight and I forgot to take a photo so I'm recycling an Instagram photo of my March reads for today's #bookstack / #augustphotochallenge prompt 😬😊
I'm really trying to read all the unread books in my bookshelf (😅 which is a pretty lofty goal) as my head does get turned pretty easily by library books...

"Do not define me by my gender or socio-economic status, Noah Willis. Do not tell me who I am and do not tell me who society thinks I am & then put me in a box & expect me to stay there. Because, I swear to God, I will climb the hell out of that box & I will take that box you've just put me in & I will use that box to smash your face in until you're nothing more than a freckly, bloodied pulp. You got that, sweet cheeks?'

Willow ?
This is definitely in my Top 5 favourite reads for 2016...
And that cover 😍

I have to admit that this book wasn't what I thought it was going to be but I'm so glad I picked it up. With a hint of mystery that leaves you guessing all the way to the end this is a book was funny, sad, strange (in a good way) and allows you to take something away you didn't expect too.
