Pickpick

4 ⭐Out of the three books in this series, so far this is the best. There is a little more thought and a little bit more work. There is a rhyming pattern. There is a cadence and it‘s like a modern head, shoulders, knees, and toes. The illustrations work well and for the first time in the series, not doing all the heavy lifting, but rather complementing the words on the page.

4 ⭐ I am used to Lucy Kinsley writing graphic novels, but her take on a picture book is quite cute. Everything rhymes and works well together. The message is spot on. And the illustrations are interesting. Babies are sure to love it.

My babygirl is officially 2 months old! I'm already sobbing she's getting so big so fast I hate/love it.

ShyBookOwl Aww! Adorable! Every passing month/milestone is such a strange blend of proud and sad 😍😩 My son will be 2 yrs this month, but he'll always be my little 4 lb preemie ❤️ 2mo

This book makes many historical connections to what life was like during World War 2. During this time many people encountered economic challenges. Many women went to work while their husbands served, leaving many children without consistent adult supervision. This also made it hard for single mothers which may have been why the baby was left on the staircase. This story helps students understand economic hardships, fear, and loss of loved ones.

I wouldn‘t use this in my classroom because it‘s not a topic I would really talk about with kids unless they had a question about it

I thought this was a really well done book. It explained a confusing topic in a child like way and the illustrations were great
