I got behind last month on #BeyondTheYellowBrickRoad so I spent Sunday morning catching up on this classic. I‘m a big fan of Oz in general & I‘ve only read the first book, so I‘m really looking forward to reading the whole series this year. I was thinking how mind blowing this book must have been for children when it came out in 1900. I love the magic of Oz. 5⭐️

I found this on my picture books shelf and at 158 pages, it looks like it has the full text. It feels like a perfect afternoon to spend in Oz. My new reading companion Fizzgig agrees!

I've been meaning to buy this set of books and read the rest of the Oz books for years. #BeyondtheYellowBrickRoad was a great excuse! I finished my reread of The Wonderful Wizard of Oz today. I had totally forgotten how much happens after the witch melts! Everything after this will be new to me, but to be honest, this one felt pretty new, too! 😜
