Then, I got to thinking that a chemical heart, or really a chemical anything isn't good for us or the planet & so I thought of these books on green living. Both have good recipes for chemical-free cleaning & health & beauty products that I've made & used. So I'm going with NO chemical hearts.🤣💚

Daughters favourite band 😁❤️

Although Oliver Sacks‘ studies focused on the brain, not the heart, #chemicalheart still has me thinking of him and all of his medical studies. He human body is a bizarre and amazing thing! Someday I will read all of his books- @Reviewsbylola brought this collection to my attention and now I need it 😍

The first story in this collection doesn‘t involve a #chemicalheart, but it does involve animal hearts and glass hearts which are produced to be put into human bodies, if their hearts break for some reason or other. It is dark and weird, but kind of fragile and beautiful at the same time 💜💜

#chemicalheart made me think about this book, especially its female scientists. And then I thought of Marie Curie, who literally glowed with her exposure to radium. Even now, her papers, including her cookbook, are too contaminated by radium to be handled without protective gear. 😵 #marchintooz

#MarchIntoOz #day16 #ChemicalHeart I love this song by Grinspoon, a very underrated Aussie band. Their lead singer had a very public battle with crystal meth which was one of the reasons for their decline. This book is a true crime account of the drug wars in Melbourne from 95-04 between rival crime groups. Fuelled by hatred as well as the drugs & a lust for money & power, most of the protagonists are now dead,consequences of the lives they led.💊
