Just as wonderful as I remembered. Witty and whimsical, the perfect read for an afternoon curled up on the sofa, feeling rotten with bronchitis! Cheered me up no end. So lovely on friendship and the joys of nature… the riverbank seems a pretty idyllic place to be.

I didn‘t expect to finish #TheGoldfinch today already, but then my train got delayed for 90 minutes, so I suddenly had a lot more times. I also made waffles 🧇 today ☺️.
The first 100 pages and the last 20 were one of the most beautiful pages ever written. The rest is very long, often still good, but it‘s also very long.

Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️/5

I adore this sentence! I‘m at the part where they arrive in Las Vegas. I heard a lot of criticism about this chapter, so I hope it won‘t be too bad. So far, I really enjoyed the book 📖 🐦.

I had heard a lot of praise about this book and I was intrigued by the description „dark academia“. #TheSecretHistory is about a group of university students who are a bit too smart, too rich and way to self-absorbed. There is also a lot of alcohol, drugs, Greek homework and murder.

EadieB @Taylor it‘s just that the book is 800 pgs and the movie would have to be very long to do it right and are people willing to sit that long if they haven‘t read the book. 5y
