March #bookspin list! The Nebula shortlist should be announced mid-month so I've saved a good chunk of my list for that. My library hold on the new Ali Hazelwood should also come in. Other than that, it's mostly books I'm in the middle of, so hopefully I'll be able to make good progress on this list!

Thanks @thearomaofbooks 🙂

You won‘t want to put it down.

We hear the story of Audrey and Kate - 1939 and 2010 as they meet for the first time and learn of each other‘s lives.

Fictionalized story line based on a real person.

A story about loyalty, friendship, and doing what you know is right.

Historical fiction and women‘s fiction fans will adore this book. 5/5

Thank you, @TheBookHippie for choosing this one. A book I wouldn‘t have picked up on my own but one I‘m happy I read. Reading with this group makes me happy.

A fictional story about Colleen Moore, an actress in the early 1900s, who sponsored an incredible fairy castle dollhouse at the Museum of Science and Industry in Chicago. I saw this dollhouse on many trips to the museum, as every year there was a field trip from school, and my parents took us kids there at least a couple of times a year. I loved it and probably still would if I got there again. Maybe it would still make me feel like a princess! ⬇️

Lesliereadsalot The story itself is a typical rags to riches, with the necessary drunk husband and oblivious studio heads. Lots of name dropping. A soft pick, but brought back lots of memories. 2w
BarbaraBB I just read a book about a dollhouse too, one that I often saw as a child when visiting the museum it‘s in: 2w

#Read2025

Read for #SundayBuddyRead I‘m a classic movie & old Hollywood buff & so this novel based on a real-life actress & star of the silent screen (Colleen Moore) was right up my alley. I didn‘t know much about her as an actress or the castle dollhouse she built for charity that still sits in the Griffin Museum in Chicago. The book has lots of personal & relationship drama & Hollywood tea that kept me entertained. I would have loved more ⬇️

DebinHawaii …on her later relationships and life after acting, but all-in-all, it was a great escape read and pick for February. 2w
