For most of my challenges, I fell short of my goals. I feel like that‘s okay. I read a lot, and I enjoyed what I read for the most part. I will try again this year. #MountTBR 33/36, #LitsyReadingChallenge2017 20/24, #ReadHarderChallenge2017 12/24, #PopSugar2017ReadingChallenge 37/52, #BetterWorldBooks2017ReadingChallenge 18/25

Bklover You did way better than I did! 6y
TricksyTails I failed every reading goal! High five! 🖐😆 6y
Scurvygirl I dropped out of do many challenges! One of my resolutions is to not join any! 😹 6y

rjsthumbelina Haha! I didn't make my goal either. I blame grad school and working 3 jobs. I think the majority of my reads this year were on audio while driving! Today, I am figuring out how many books I want to shoot for next year, and which challenges actually seem achievable for me 😁 6y
BookMaven407 I didn't make my Goodreads goal and don't mind, I've enjoyed the reading I've been able to do! Happy New Year! 6y

So I learned a lot about my reading style during 2017. I think as a reader I'm not capable of focusing to reading challenges. I think two challenges were too much for me. They would have required pretty well planed book schedule and I like to be spontaneous with my reading choises. I didn't finnish either one. I think for 2018 I'll choose only one and focuss on achieving that. Don't know yet which one... 📚 #LitsyReadingChallenge2017 #LitsyAtoZ

I just need one more square to finish up #litsyreadingchallenge2017 - I‘m also one letter (Q) away from finishing #litsyatoz - I think I need three more for #mounttbr2017 and about 20 for my Goodreads Challenge... all achievable in the time I have left this year (right?!?) 😃 (I think I can, I think I can)...

The Angel's Game | Carlos Ruiz Zafon

Pickpick

Close to a so-so, but considering I'd trouble putting it down, it gets a pick. It's hard not to compare The Angel's Game to its predecessor, The Shadow of the Wind, and in that comparison, TAG's the weaker book. It's darker and more hopeless than TSOTW, I didn't connect to David Martín the same way I did to Daniel Sempere, and the story lacked something. That being said, it is a book for book lovers, and it made me want to visit Barcelona so much!

BookBabe Great review! I enjoyed Shadow. I hope I‘ll like this one. I don‘t know that Shadow needed to get any darker or more hopeless, so that‘s worrisome, lol. But I‘ll read it and see. 🌱 Is that an aloe plant? Looks WAY better than mine. (Wouldn‘t you say, @MrBook ?) 6y
Kalalalatja @BookBabe I know many people who have enjoyed this as much as Shadow, and this was a good read, just not as good as Shadow - for me. And I'm not completely sure, which type of plant it is really ? it is definitely in the succulent family, but I'm not sure about it being an aloe plant. The "leaves" don't feel thick enough for that, but it could be ?‍♀️? 6y
MrBook I'd say, @BookBabe ! 6y

And another #bingo square completed for #litsyreadingchallenge2017

This is a category that I modified to science fiction because I don't read horror. #lrc2017

BarbaraBB Just one more! So good 👍👍 6y
