I just finished watching The Tudors for the first time. While Jonathan Rhys Meyers looks nothing like the real Henry VIII, I think he did an excellent job portraying this egomaniacal king. It‘s my first time exploring the other wives of H8 besides Anne Boleyn, and I have gone down the rabbit hole, downloaded about 60 books relating to it all. 😬

I recently binge watched The Serpent Queen on Starz & LOVED it. It‘s about Catherine de Medici, who was the queen regent of France in the 1500‘s. The show is based on the tagged book. It plays loose with history & has a magical realism element to it but I loved every second of this show. Catherine was such a badass. 😎
