Great idea Megan, to share our #20booksby2020! These are some of my choices of books to read before the end of the year. They are #bookerprize nominated books, books from the #1001books list, one to be read for the #nyrbbookclub and books for this year‘s various challenges (#booked2019, #ATY2019, #pop2019 and #ReadingUSA2019).

In February I have read 12 books, 4 of which were almost 5 ⭐️ for me. These are the ones pictured above.

Also I‘m still on track with my challenges (#Booked2019, #Pop2019, #ATY2019 and #ReadingUSA2019) and I covered 14 books of the 18 shortlisted for the #ToB2019.

In short, a very good month for me!

Next book, and this year‘s second book club read. Also ticking off “a book with a plant on the cover” for #popsugar2019 (thanks, cattails) ✅ Keen to make a start on this 😊

Loved it. Admittedly, I finished ‘The Amber Spyglass‘ yesterday and am still sitting here picking up the pieces of my broken heart 💔. Overall though, a fantastic trilogy which I believe holds something of value for everyone, regardless of the intended audience.

These were all the books I finished in January. I read Becoming very slowly, so it was started back in 2018! My other favorites were Bad Blood, The Sun is Also a Star, All-American Boys, and Far from the Tree. Many of these books worked for #Pop2019 prompts. #January was a great start to my reading year.

This book was SO fun! Wil Wheaton did such a great job of narrating this. The visual writing made this virtual reality world come to life. I rooted for Parzival, H, Artemis, and Daito the whole way. The worship for all things 80's was nostalgic feeling. The only thing that annoyed me was the way Artemis was portrayed as the stereotypically bitchy female gamer at times. It barely detracted from the story though and I give this solid 4 stars!

So excited for my new birthday reads 😁😍 I‘ve never read these before so figured it was about time I got around to it! Also, all three are going towards my popsugar tally so I‘m multi-tasking really 💁🏼‍♀️📚

Really enjoyed this book. A little dark and twisted, but nothing too unsettling - just enough to keep the reader feeling a little uncomfortable and eager to see what‘s on the next page. Definitely a pick for me, and can‘t wait to get started on the next book in this series soon 😊
