I shed happy tears this morning. 5,000 protesters in Marquette. 7% of the county's population. Up from 3,500 at the last big protest. I have hope today.

I have had this on loop all day. 250 years later, and we're still fighting this. Thanks to all who went out there today to fight the good fight. I got blindsided with a hellacious cold and didn't want to spread my germs, but I've been there in spirit. #resist 💙✊🏻♥️
If you've never seen Schoolhouse Rock, especially this one, it's worth 3 minutes of your time. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WvOZs3g3qIo

This is my adult Autistic son.He knows R.F. Kennedy Jr.‘s appalling, abhorrent views on Autistic people. My husband‘s shared this beautiful letter
from the mother of an Autistic daughter. She says what i cannot put into words-my son is a gift, one that has set my life path on an unexpected trajectory, & I am all the ricer for it.

We went to Liverpool today to attend a protest in support of Trans Rights, so an after-protest visit to News From Nowhere was mandatory. I bought a book on the politics of mental health and a mug with a quote from living legend Kathy Burke:
"I love being Woke. It's much nicer than being an ignorant fucking twat." No argument from me!
I bought a couple of t-shirts from a shop up the road, too ?????♀️
“… our job always and forever (is) to refuse Apocalypse in all its forms and work cheerfully against it.” #Resist #PushbackagainsttheNonsense
I also like “Her kindness was like water over smooth stones.” #BeKind

250 years ago today, the battle of Lexington and Concord occurred. Wonder what our forefathers would think now? My favorite line from JOHNNY TREMAIN, winner of the 1944 Newbery Medal and about the outbreak of said battle, is from James Otis as he's questioning all of the patriots as to why they were fighting: “We give all we have, lives, property, safety, skill...we fight, we die, for a simple thing. Only that a man can stand up.” #resist ✊🏻💙✊🏻
Protested with my mama today.
