I have had so many library holds come in at once I don‘t know what to read first #thestruggleisreal I started this last night and I had no idea this was how it was going to begin 🤯 I want to stay in bed all weekend and read all my books ( the books in the background are my TBR shelf/piles and it is ridiculous)

I have been all over the place picking a new read #thestruggleisreal 2/3 buddy reads are a struggle bus ( yes The Brothers Karamazov and The Golden Notebook I am talking about YOU!) Emma of 83rd Street is light and fluffy. I need something good but not too thought provoking, something compelling but fun. Here we go with the next in a series from a buddy read ( please forgive me TBR stacks in my house, it‘s a library read)

AnnR These characters aren't very likeable. My reaction to them is similar to the characters in many of Edith Wharton's novels. 1y

dabbe @AnnR I so agree! I think I've mentioned more than once how these people make me think of the Gilded Age New York society snobs. Just living their elegantly rich but humdrum lives. 1y
