For me, all enjoyment of life goes back to the arts. Everything we work for, strive for, fight for, is all expressed in creative ways. This made me think of the 9 Muses in Greek mythology, the sources of inspiration--women.
When I think of women and reflect on this quote, I think about my abuela, mother, and Madrina. How they showered me with love. My abuela, always having fresh tortillas, my mother, keeping me intellectually stimulated, and my Madrina, telling me how much I matter in this world. These women shaped me and guided me. Women were kind, nurturing, strong, powerful, beautiful.
