Blueroseis Certainly the first few books were good. Both my myself and my partner gave up reading the series part way through as they became less enjoyable. I couldn't understand how the main character could have had so many adventures, be schooled overseas and return home but remain the same age, unless of course I missed one of her birthdays. 4y

EadieB @Blueroseis Certainly you cannot take these books too serious. I look at them as entertainment and you need to suspend belief that she is able to do all that she does at her age. 4y

As always, Alan Bradley comes through with this Flavia de Luce novel. Flavia, whose precocious, hyper-intelligent voice is the shining star of the novel, becomes involved in a mystery that places her chemistry knowledge at its center. I listened to this one on @scribd, and the reader is *excellent*. And what a cliffhanger!!!

By studying the skin, the indentation of a ring, and the fingernail, Flavia will be able to identity the victim and find the killer. All Bradley's books are quite unique. I look forward to the next one and recommend them to those who love cozy mysteries.
