It started well but it was unevenly paced and too long. Why are books not edited better these days?
The chapter devoted to describing Marion‘s descent into mental illness was way too much and too long again.
I feel that if it had been tidied up and condensed with a thorough editing it could have shone. But for me it just dragged on and by the end I was skipping pages. Glad it‘s over tbh.

This was a reread for me & one of my favorites. Louis and his family move into a new house that is by a busy road and a pet cemetery. The energy from the Pet Sematary uses the other to destroy the family. King himself wrote this book after living in a similar location 🐈‍⬛

Started this one a week ago. I was really invested at the start, but now I am finding it slow going. Mind you, I‘ve only been reading it for the last week and a half and am still not quite halfway through. We‘ll see how it goes.

TrishB I don‘t have any specific books. But when I feel so many different things getting on top of me I try and see which I can actually solve and try and plan something for those. Just having a plan helps me. I‘m not trying to be patronising as we all approach things differently I know. Hope you start to find some answers. 5y

TheBookDream @TrishB I‘ve been working on that too, but having trouble with the long term planning. Either way, it seems like leaving the weekend free of such activities has been helpful in getting perspective. Weekend for books and board games. Weekdays for life. 5y
