It was somehow forgotten & discovered 20+ years later after the passing of Lucy and Desi Sr. It‘s truly a love letter from this Hollywood legend to all her fans. Loved the sizzling Lucy & Desi love story and hearing about Lucy‘s enduring friendship with Vivian Vance. Daughter Lucie‘s narration & touching intro blew me away. (Published 1996)
1. We used to play this word game that was kinda like Scrabble but one word at a time. I don‘t remember what it was called. Outside, my friends and I would make up elaborate scenarios and act them out then judge our acting.
2. I saw The Sound of Music with my family when I was pretty young, and I‘ve loved it ever since then.

This was a fun and quick read that touches on the impact of Taylor Swift‘s music (so far) on a micro and macro level. It kind of jumps all around and I didn‘t always fully agree with the author‘s song interpretations/opinions (although that‘s the beauty of art). I did also learn some new things. It was especially satisfying to listen to this in celebration of Taylor gaining ownership of all of her masters! 🎧
When I‘m having a bad day, nothing cheers me up more than I Love Lucy. Laughter is the best medicine! (This also happens to be my favorite episode, L.A. At Last! with the gorgeous William Holden 😍)
On my darkest days,
Lucy is balm for my soul.

I check the charity book table at my local shop more in hope than expectation of finding anything I'd be interested in amongst the old cook books, mountains of Jeremy Clarkson drivel and biographies of disgraced celebrities, but today I was rewarded for my perseverance with these two schlocky '70s tomes! 🖤🧌💚💀❤️🧛🏻♀️💚🧟♀️🖤 😱😁
