Super, non mi ricordavo di averlo letto e nob mi ricordo bene la storia. La sensazione lasciata dal ricordo però è super positiva. Mi ricordo una lettura veramente geniale e imprevedibile. Molto bello

This collection of short mysteries featuring early cases investigated by Inspector Montalbano is a low pick, as the quality of the stories are mixed. However, I always enjoy spending time with Montalbano and friends.
The setting on Sicily is perfect for prompt 8 (“Features the ocean“) of #52bookclub24.

I probably won't get through all of these, but here are my picks for the #CloakandDaggerChristmas challenge hosted by @Ruthiella:
1. An English Murder by Cyril Hare
2. The Maid by Nita Prose
3. Stockings and Spells by Nancy Warren
4. The Hidden Staircase by Carolyn Keene
5. A Small Death in Lisbon by Robert Wilson
6. 4:50 From Paddington by Agatha Christie
7. Death at Sea by Andrea Camilleri
8. Peril at Owl Park by Marthe Jocelyn
Do you know "I delitti del bar lume?"
A crime series about four old men and a "Bar" in the Giglio Isle.
Fantastic and very comic series.??
I couldn‘t sleep last night so finished off my first book for #20in4
Another sadness as this almost takes me to the end of the series and this one was published posthumously following Camilleri‘s death. Usual great Fayre from this author, always great to spend time with Montalbano and his zany crew. #SeriesLove2023 @TheSpineView Only one book to go in the series now.

Starting off #20in4 by reading one of the last books Andrea Camilleri wrote in the Montalbano series before he died. This is book 27 in the series. #SeriesLove2023 @TheSpineView

Day 4 of Chrismas
I only recorded 2 books in April, and this was definitely the best of them. A new-to-me mystery series set in Italy.

I remember I was so shocked by this book, I read almost 20 years ago! Faletti was a comedian and I didn't expect such a thriller from him..

On my visit to the library last week, I picked up a couple of Maigrets. In this one, Simenon sets up an intriguing mystery involving a genially vacant amnesiac, who has obviously been subject to both extreme violence and cutting-edge surgery (pardon the pun). The action takes place in a small port in Normandy, in which the fog and maritime life provide an atmospheric setting. I'm only on page 20 and I'm totally invested 📖👀

When Clement Vauquer realises he is being framed as a serial killer, he seeks help from Marthe, who had been kind to him as a boy and taught him to read. She enrols the help of Louis Kehlweiler, who, with the three evangelists, hunts for the real killer.
Rather darker than the earlier books in the series but the characters still held my interest.
