So, I'm seriously rethinking the two Simmons books on my TBR, the last two books in the Hyperion series, after reading his tweet completely bashing a 16 yr old girl. The thought of a 72 year old "man" cyber bullying a child just boils my blood. #Magathugs #Magabullies #jerk

#FierceFeb #Nasty I know I should be going for girl power here but I went the easy way out with the only book currently in my stacks with 'nasty' in the title. Although. Not my favorite of Bourdain's books but this collection of essays--mostly surrounding food--can be outrageous & a bit nasty in tone & sometimes subject matter.

Some parts of this book are absolutely #nasty and gross. Others are completely beautiful and captivating. Then other parts are weird and wonderful. Mix them all together, and you have my recipe for a great book 👌

PagesOfKate I still have some very mixed feeling about this book, probably for the reasons you describe! Also wanted to give you a heads up. I'm your match for the non-fiction book exchange (sorry to ruin the surprise!). I've already sent the parcel by tracked postage and it looks like a delivery was attempted earlier in the week. Just checking I haven't screwed up on the address front and that all is where it should be. 6y
