Mmmmmmm. The top right book looks….delicious. 😳.

@dabbe @peaKnit @TheBookHippie

dabbe OMG. My childhood has just caught up with me! 😂 My grandma had that book in the upper left. I remember her serving us jello parfaits! I admit, I liked the strawberry one with whipped cream. The top right is just wrong. #nasty 🤮 4mo
peaKnit Ope! And nope! 😂 though that bottom one…🤔 4mo

So, I'm seriously rethinking the two Simmons books on my TBR, the last two books in the Hyperion series, after reading his tweet completely bashing a 16 yr old girl. The thought of a 72 year old "man" cyber bullying a child just boils my blood. #Magathugs #Magabullies #jerk

Let‘s sum this up with emojis. 🤬😤😭😫😕😃💪🙌🤝 Super tough, but excellent read. Each essay was both heart crushing and inspiring at the same time. #LitsyAtoZ #N #nasty #readharder2018

#FierceFeb #Nasty I know I should be going for girl power here but I went the easy way out with the only book currently in my stacks with 'nasty' in the title. Although. Not my favorite of Bourdain's books but this collection of essays--mostly surrounding food--can be outrageous & a bit nasty in tone & sometimes subject matter.

batsy Clever pick! Love Bourdain 😊 7y
Cinfhen He's the type of nasty I find delicious 😜😉 7y

LeahBergen Yep. 😬 7y
Sydsavvy And just Look at how innocent he looks. 7y
Maria514626 Both of the main characters were so audacious! (The second being the World‘s Fair planners.) That kept me glued! 7y

Librarybelle @Maria514626 It was a good book, but also scary to think it‘s true stuff! 7y
Maria514626 @Librarybelle I didn‘t read it before bed! 7y
Librarybelle @Maria514626 Definitely not bed time reading! 7y
batsy This sounds like a fascinating true crime read 👍 7y
Librarybelle @batsy I enjoyed it, but it‘s very dark 7y
GlassAsDiamonds I‘m usually not a “true crime” fan but thought this was fantastic 😊 7y

Mary Ann Cotton is believed to have poisoned 3 of her 4 husbands and 11 of her 13 children (although her grand total of victims might have been as high as 21). And this was 16 years before Jack the Ripper. 😮

#FierceFeb

Leftcoastzen Busy gal. 7y
LeahBergen @Leftcoastzen Right? All that murdering wouldn‘t leave much reading time. I‘d make a horrible serial killer. 😉 7y

merelybookish Did she say why she poisoned them? 7y
batsy Wow. I think I've vaguely heard of her but wasn't aware of the number. Sounds like a story I need to learn more about... 7y

LeahBergen @Centique 😂😂 7y
LeahBergen @mrp27 I saw it, too! It‘s what inspired me to buy this book. 7y
Izai.Amorim Why did she spare the 4th husband? Love? 😁 7y
AceOnRoam Good question @Izai.Amorim 7y
Cinfhen @Reviewsbylola thought of you!!! What does that mean??? Just realized you are probably on your way to London...safe travels 😘❤️ (edited) 7y
LeahBergen @Izai.Amorim I‘m not sure. Maybe she didn‘t have an insurance policy for that one? 😆 7y
LeahBergen @Cinfhen It means she likes the macabre reads like I do. 😆😆 @Reviewsbylola 7y
