Narrator's voice: "She bought everything."

I thought it high time to read some of Wilde's work, since I've been following her in twitter for eons! 🙈
Eleanor West's Home for Wayward Children takes in troubled students who have traveled to magical universes and returned to a world where they no longer fit. This was such a lovely novella. Major props for the great ace and trans representation, as well.
Three women try to stop a supermarket chain from building a store in their sleepy hamlet of Lychford--which happens to lay on the boundary between two worlds. If they fail, the destruction of the border will open wide the gateways to malevolent beings beyond imagination. 9/10 recommend.
It's as heartbreaking and unflinching as everyone says. Don't wait months to get your hands on it like I did.
Strong female protag deals with her brother-usurper's BS by going on quests and hanging out with other badass women. YES 👏🏻 MA'AM 👏🏻
Take a moment today to reflect on where we've been, where we are, and where we can be. #internationalwomensday #daywithoutawoman
Here's me #FunFridayPhoto of the book closest to me should I get sucked up into an 👽 ship (fingers crossed!).
A solid, tightly written psychological thriller. I may not always gravitate towards his work, but this book reminded me why King's considered a master.
Last day of #RiotGrams! Bookish confession: I know lots of people consider them an eye sore but I ❤ used book stickers. They're like passport stamps of a well-traveled book.

Okay. OKAY. I thought I would ❤ this! 🙈Here me out--one of my 2017 reading resolutions is that if I'm not totally stoked for a story after 100 pgs, then it's gotta go. I just could not get into the writing style (if a character is in a heavy emotional state. , I should get that through their actions & not bc they explicitly tell me every other page). So aside it goes for now. 🤷♀️Maybe I'll give it another go in the future.
A few of my favorite #funnybooks #RiotGrams
These books live together bc they look pretty and alphabetical order is FOR NERDS #coolspines #RiotGrams
The cover of The Night Circus is 💯my aesthetic #favoritecover #RiotGrams
#RiotGrams Day 18: Something Pretty. Chris Riddell's illustrations in Neil Gaiman's The Sleeper and the Spindle are absolutely breathtaking.
Not book related but Day 17 of #RiotGrams is a #freebie so here's a mug with a hand-painted cat butt I made for my BIL
"They're kissing again. Do we HAVE to hear the kissing parts?...Skip on to the fire swamp, that sounded good." #kissingbooks #RiotGrams

Keiji Nakazawa's Barefoot Gen series traces the author's childhood in the aftermath of the atomic bombing of Hiroshima by the US. Devastating and iconic.#comics #riotgrams
Once upon a time Carly Simon moonlighted as a kidlit author and gave me my favorite bedtime story. I apparently memorized it before I could read and would get mad at my parents when they tried to skip pages to get me to sleep faster 😂 #riotgrams #charactersthatshareyourname
"America is woven of many strands....Our fate is to become one, and yet many. This is not prophecy, but description." -Ralph Ellison #blackhistory #riotgrams
My local library is under major renovation BUT I've just gotten into a serious relationship with Overdrive & every time I open my tablet it feels like this #riotgrams
All buckled up and ready for my first adventure in the Brandon Sanderson universe #currentread #riotgrams

#RiotGrams Day 4: Favorite Villain. Nurse Ratched. To quote Jean-Ralphio Saperstein, " ??She's the WOOOOOORRSTTT??"
#RiotGrams Day 3: One Word Title. In 2008, I was a very homesick student studying abroad in Florence who happened to stumble across an English language used bookstore tucked in an alley off of of the piazza del duomo. I picked up a ragged copy of Dracula that accompanied me on many European adventures and has earned a permanent space of honor wherever my next adventure may take me.
I've been reading/curled up with this gorg reading pillow pretty much nonstop since Christmas. Until it inevitably gets bogarted by the Fur Baby, that is. #RiotGrams #whereiread
Day 1 of the #RiotGrams challenge! Here's a #shelfie of one of my favorite spots in the house (the teacup houses my bookmarks 😊).
Anyone else have a collection of Very Long Intimidating Books you haven't read yet because they are Very Long Intimidating Books???
This is my first year tackling the Book Riot Read Harder challenge and this is my selection for the "Book about books." Can't wait to dive in!
One of my goals this year is to read more books with POC main characters and characters with disabilities. This gets a solid 3/5: Great and UNIQUE premise for a YA fantasy, but the overall execution, plot, character dev just wasn't there for me. I would still recommend, but I just didn't love it as much as I wanted to.
Things u find in ur mom's bookshelf 🙌🏼🙏🏼🙌🏼
Dark. Strange. Mysterious. Supernatural wtf**kery.
This. Series. Guys. Johansen takes you on a crazy fantasy/time travel trip that I haven't seen in any other series- and damn she sticks the landing. The ending is heartbreaking, hard-earned, and just right. Yas. YASSSSS. #bookflatlay #seasonsreadings #bookstagram #booklover
Fantastic tale that feels familiar while being wholly unique.
Sometimes I get a yearning for a fantasy with a strong female protag that begs for a reflexive feminist reading. This did the trick. ✔️✔️✔️
Gorgeous finish to the Six of Crows duology. Seasons greetings!
