This book consumed me. When I wasn‘t reading it, I was thinking about how badly I wanted to read it. Powerless is filled with twists, turns, the absolute slowest and sweetest of slow burn romances and the most poetically written characters.

This book was so adorable! It had the perfect amount of conflict, heat and slow-burn romance. I really enjoyed the banter between Hallie and Hayden.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Another great addition to the Tita Rosie‘s series. I‘m excited for the 5th and (I think) final book to finish up the series.
3.5 ⭐️
I adored this book!! It‘s the second in the series with the most relatable, bookish, sweet and smart FMC. I can‘t wait for the next book in the series!

This was such a sweet, cozy read. I adored each and every character in their own way. Highly recommend for a fall read, or any time you need a break from reality and want to immerse yourself in small town life.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I loved this edition to the Tita Rosie‘s mysteries. It was great to get a more light-hearted and sweet version of the family again.
3.75⭐️
This book was a bit darker than the first but I appreciated the author‘s warning about that change from the first in the series. I was so glad to be back in Tita Rosie‘s world and enjoy the richness of the descriptive recipes, realness of relationship struggles between friends and family, and a solid murder mystery.
3.5 ⭐️
This is my first Elise Bryant book and I very much enjoyed it. I enjoy mysteries and romance so this was a welcomed purchase for me. I do wish there were a few more twists in the book and that the ending was a bit more wrapped up, but I‘d give it a solid 3.7 ⭐️s.
This book was a welcome edition to the series. I love Atlas and Lily‘s stories and was glad to get to know them both a bit more.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
This book does have quite a bit of domestic violence in it, but I still devoured it. I enjoyed the ending so much and am glad Lily was “brave and bold”.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Another wonderful book in the ACOTAR series. I definitely was not / am not a Nesta fan but this book made me love and understand Cassian so much more! The last hundred pages will have you on the edge of your seat. This series is a must read. I can‘t wait for Azriel to get his own book 🤞🏻
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
This book has some steamy scenes and sweet moments. Thinking of it as more of a transition into other characters‘ stories, it was a welcome edition to the series.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
My heart! This is a fantastic edition to the series! A roller coaster of emotions with battle scenes that will have you stunned. Highly recommend this one!
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I don‘t even know where to begin. This book was even better than the first one and absolutely ramped the story up at an incredible pace. There‘s not much I can say without giving away any of the story but Rhys and the bat boys have my heart.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I‘m still completely blown away that this book is such a quick read while being filled with so much detail. Feyre, Tamlin, Lucien and Rhysand all have a special place in my heart. I can‘t wait to read the next book in this series!
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I really loved this book and the concept of Monsters Inc. for husbands. It was nice to see a lighthearted take on dating and relationships while also acknowledging that we all have quirks and will inevitably not love everything about our person. I highly recommend this for anyone who needs a light read filled with delight and a little magic.
4.5 ⭐️
This book was even better than the first! Iris and Roman will always hold a special place in my heart and I was so happy to see each character through their own ending. While everything might not have been “happy” by definition, I felt the story ended with a neat little bow for each in its own way.
My first Romantasy duology, but it certainly won‘t be my last read of this new to me genre.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
This is the first book I have ever DNF‘d. I understand it was written in a very different time but at page 142/262, I decided I just really don‘t like it. The language is stronger than I anticipated, again understanding this was written in the 30‘s, but almost every other sentence includes some sort of derogatory reference to a person of another race.
I much prefer Hemingway for his love of polydactyl cats. Picture of Hemingway cat included.
⭐️
This was my first fantasy book and I adored it! I found myself quickly rooting for Iris and Roman as individuals on their own journeys, gasping at the twists and not wanting the story to end. I‘m so glad I‘m able to read the sequel soon, as I have to know what happens next.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
This book was well written and full of twists! It‘s a bit darker of a thriller than I‘d normally read but definitely a must read!
I had read The Fury first and then saw reviews for this book after I had read the epilogue and unknowingly read a subtle spoiler. If I hadn‘t heard it was a spoiler, I think it would‘ve been more shocking of a story, but I still recommend it.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Wow. Where to begin with this review? I love the idea of a murder mystery on a Greek island. This book had major Poirot and Shakespearean play energy. If you‘re a fan of one or both of those, then you should definitely read this one! This is my first Michaelides book and won‘t be the last!
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
This series has a way of pulling you in, but this book specifically made me root for each character at different times, even the ones that previous books in the series made me despise. I‘m so glad I read this after the 4th book came out! Can‘t wait to find out what happens next!
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Pic of my #catoflitsy for National Love Your Pet Day 🩵🐈⬛
This book is adorable with a “while you were sleeping” storyline. Peyton has 3 boyfriends, 1 she loves and 1 is a liar, but she can‘t remember who she loved. I guessed the ending pretty early on, but it is well written and filled with sweet moments.
4.5⭐️
This book is good but takes a bit to really get into the suspenseful part of the story. It focuses more on the couples‘ relationships than the plot at times, which gives away some details and allows you to figure most of the story out chapters before they‘re revealed. 3.5 ⭐️
19/30 - better than last year but hoping to read more next year. Happy New Year everyone!
My heart. This book takes you through so many emotions absolutely flawlessly. The way the author tackles some triggering subjects and flows effortlessly into the winding tale of the characters lives is incredible. This book definitely deserved the Book of the Year award it received last year.
I ended up purchasing a copy tonight before I finished and I‘m so glad I did!
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
This book is beautiful! It has plenty of laugh out loud moments and steamy scenes but it ended in the most perfect way. I couldn‘t stop reading tonight and I‘m so glad I did. I laughed with the characters, I cried with them and I cheered them on to the last page.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I absolutely adore Fizzy and loved that she got her own story!! This book was incredible! Filled with tender, heartfelt moments, hot, steamy scenes and plenty of comedy. It‘s a must read for CLo fans!
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Thank you so much @MaleficentBookDragon for my #FFFS package! Chocolate pretzels are my fav! The witch is so cute, love the mini palmistry kit and I can‘t wait to use the beautiful hand knitted coffee cozy!
🧙🏻♀️🎃🍂
@Avanders and @Chrissyreadit thank you both for organizing the swap!
My #FFFS box just arrived! It says perishable but I don‘t see anyone with my person‘s last name as a user 😬. @MaleficentBookDragon are you my swap buddy? If so, please let me know if I need to go ahead and open it.
@Avanders @Chrissyreadit
Off it goes! The #FFFS was the first Litsy swap I ever participated in. Glad to be a part of it again this year!! Thank you @Avanders and @Chrissyreadit for organizing it and @Mommamanzi for the tag!
This is my first Sally Hepworth but it will NOT be my last! Omg this book had it all, perfect twists, love, romance, mental illness, unwavering support and peace. I have been absolutely hooked on this book from the very first sentence. Highly recommend reading if you enjoy mystery/thrillers that keep you guessing until the last possible second.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I devoured this book!! I absolutely adore Abbie and Carson. Their story has everything from pulling at your heart strings to making you laugh out loud. Absolutely recommend checking this one out if you love a sweet and slightly steamy romance.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Came for the cover, stayed for the characters.
This was a good, quick read. It touches on a few heavy subjects and pulls at your heartstrings, but the majority of it is lighthearted and your typical family drama. If the typical family was extremely wealthy.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I loved this book! Sally is such a relatable character for me. To see someone live a somewhat normal life, dream of more then almost destroy it single-handedly with her skepticism hit home but in the sweetest way. The author did an excellent job of including real life issues while still giving perfect laugh out loud moments.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
First ever book swap with @Mommamanzi last weekend at Spellbound Books in Sanford, FL. Absolutely loved having a fun night with my bff and we signed up for the August Meet Cutes book club!
I loved this book! It was more of a slow burn than the first in the series, but it was filled with adorably sweet moments, steamy scenes and so many highs and lows for the main characters. I absolutely adore Hannah and Fox!
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
This book was well written and covered a variety of topics regarding our society and how it views differences in gender, race, sexual orientation and even variances in family units. It was nice to read about such serious topics and have a bit of levity added to them (insert dragons), while still maintaining the severity of the situations that many people face on a daily basis. This one will definitely be a re-read!
4.5⭐️
I love this series so much!! This book was an incredible addition! It has everything from steamy scenes to laugh out loud moments while still teaching you to embrace the changes the future holds for you. Absolutely loved this one!
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I loved this book. I felt like the ending came too soon but then realized it was because I truly didn‘t want it to end. I love that she left it open and would be thrilled for there to be a sequel.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
This book was incredible. Like everyone, I had seen the headlines and harassment that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex had suffered but this was a beautifully written version of their side of the story. I‘m glad that they‘ve found some sense of peace and hope they are able to continue living out their lives, raising their beautiful children and continuing their charitable work.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
This was a good quick read. I enjoyed the underlying story of the main characters and how they found each other, but it felt a bit repetitive of phrases at times.
3.5⭐️
I love Rosie and Dominic‘s relationship! This book is equally swoon worthy and steamy. Absolutely loved the second book in this series!
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Finished The Summer Place flying back from SLC. Back in toasty FL now ☺️
Another great light read from Jennifer Weiner! If you liked Big Summer and That Summer, you‘ll love this one! It follows the same format but details a different family, their collective and individual struggles and keeps you guessing.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Another amazing CLo book! I love that this one has a more adventurous theme to it. It‘s different and yet still gives you the amazing laugh out loud and swoon worthy moments you expect and love.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
This is not necessarily book related, but my sweet Mia (aka my reading buddy) is competing for America‘s Favorite Pet and would love your support! ❤️🐈⬛ https://americasfavpet.com/2023/mia-0877
Of course book 1 of the year had to be a Christina Lauren book 💙 I‘ve had this on my shelf since it‘s release date and finally have time to read it!
This book was so sweet and had many laugh out loud moments. Somehow it still managed to have some incredibly hot scenes. I highly recommend it!
5⭐️
My last read of 2022 and quite a bit short of my 30 book goal. I was doing well but work turned into utter chaos. 14/30 while keeping in mind I took care of myself the best I could isn‘t too bad. Happy new year everyone!
This book provided an interesting insight into Agatha Christie‘s life and disappearance. I haven‘t read any of her books yet, but this made me want to!
