Done with my #bookspin #doublespin book.
I liked this book. The starting was a bit choppy in terms of writing (which seems to be at odds with the story) but by the end, I was hooked to the story and though the killer wasn't difficult to guess, I still couldn't help but finish the book.

Fininished with my first #bookspin book for may.
I really really loved this book. My first PG Woodhouse and I was not at all disappointed. Definitely recommend.

My third and final book for #bookspin completed. #TripleSpin
@TheAromaofBooks
I enjoyed the writing and the way story was set up. Not my usual read but still it was enjoyable. The way story went back and forth between past and present esp how the past was told in reverse was done well. Only major problem for me was the second last chapter. I like open endings but this one dissappointed me (details in comments as it contains spoilers).
My #bookspin list for may. Thanks @TheAromaofBooks for organising this.
Will be taking part in #bookspinbonanza even though once work fully starts, I'll be lucky if I'm able to complete one book.
Getting started on my #TripleSpin!!
Another book has left my tbr pile.
#doublespin @TheAromaofBooks
While this book had some great insights, there were certain elements that were a little too much for me. Also the characters were a little too one dimensional for me.
My #doublespin book dropping some savage one liners.

My #bookspin of the month. @TheAromaofBooks
I really enjoyed this book. The premises was interesting (Mahabharat from Draupadis view). Fair warning if you are not aware of at least the main Mahabharat story and some of its many subplots, this might be a little confusing for many important events are glossed over or not mentioned. But considering mahabharat is too huge a story to be properly captured in 360 pages, it was a great effort. (contd)
My #bookspin books. I have been meaning to read The Palace of Illusions for a while now. So yay!
Thanks @TheAromaofBooks for organising this.

Another John Green book completed (my fourth) but still nothing still captures the magic of TFIOS. I know JG was not the only author, but since I have yet to read any of his other book, I do not have any basis of comparison for him.
This book started out good but by the end it kind of fizzled out. My sister asked me what the book was about when she saw me reading and I could only shrug and offer a vague it's about two guys with same name. (contd)
Here's my collection for April #BookSpin #TripleSpin. Never done this before but excited for April.
Thanks @TheAromaofBooks.
So I have this habit where at a time, usually, there are 2 —3 books in my currently reading pile. Like I can't read one book only for too long. I need a side book, so to say. Does anybody else also have this habit?
My currently reading pile attached. Is it bad I am being tempted to add one more book to this? (This is of course excluding the manga I am also reading)
I have had this book with me for ages (given as a prize in school!), but since I was never that much into classics especially one as big as this one (it has freaking about 1k pages, and while I have read books this big, it was never a classic with small font and 1k pages) , never got around to reading it. Guess nows a as good time as any to finally crack it open. Fingers crossed.
Having loved the previous two books, I had high expectations for this one. I was a little disappointed unfortunately. It is a good book, but it does drag at certain places. The ending (without giving any spoilers) was both sad and bright but the way everything was resolved, the big buildup about the fight and everything else was a little anticlimactic.
I am still not over the way the second to last chapter ended. Everything that happened after, well I thought I was numb and nothing could rattle me, and I couldn't have been more wrong. Guess who is now immediately opening the next part.
That's like the worst most heart breaking way to kill beloved characters. ".... and then they died." Like damn it, they deserved more. And he didn't even get to have a reunion with Lyra!!
(I am not alright)
This line is so innocent yet so heart breaking.
Hey everyone!! Anybody interested in playing a little game? #bookchain. You take the last letter of the book name or author and post a book with the name or author starting from that letter with the hash tag #bookchain tagging the person from whom you are continuing. Let's start with this book. Post a book whose name or author name is starting with N or P? And anybody or everybody following you can continue from there. You can even post twice.
I loved this book. Technically I know this is considered a kids book. But the layers this book had!! It was unbelievable. The only reason it could be considered kids book maybe because mc is a young kid. But it was so interesting. I could never get the hate on this movie (except from the religious side) but now I can. This book was infinitely better than the movie The Golden Compass. The movie to appease people removed the heart of this book.
This book is based in small town and you get kind of a rustic Indian vibe reading this. The book has a simple narrative and that charmed me in a way I didnt expect.
1. Historical fiction
2. Star wars
3. Burgers
4. Im yet to read either so......
5. @mutlee
@JenlovesJT47 thanks for the game
@Suzze thanks for the tag
This book was so good. The cover drew me in (its creepy yet intriguing, isnt it?). My expectations were completely blown over. This book was gripping and clever. Not one moment that I wanted to rush. It was murder mystery and one of the best I have read.
This book has some hard hitting, unflattering truths but damn, I am still loving this book. Haven't finished it but this is some clever writing.
@LibrarianRyan
K- Kane & Abel by Jeffery Archer
R- Room by Emma Donoghue
I- It by Stephen King
T- Three Blind Mice by Ed Mcbain
I- Inheritance by Christopher Paolini
3 books in one day!! (granted I was already halfway through it but still).
I haven't read that many Stephen King books (I think 3 including this one) but I have really enjoyed the authors work. This one wasnt horror at least not in a traditional sense. More like a person facing horrors of life and dealing with it. And I loved the book. It isnt divided into chapters to make it read as a monologue, definitely something new (contd in comment)
Another one bites the dust. If you are a romantic or Jane Austin fan, you will probably like this book. It was an alright book. It touched on some issues but there were some themes I felt were repeated from her other books. So if you are sucker for classic romance, go for this book.
I was one those that watched gossip girl. I haven't seen every single episode but I did follow it for about two seasons (the last two). I thought it was an alright show so when I got the chance to buy this book at a dirt cheap price, I took it because books are mostly better. In this case it wasnt so or maybe its because I grew up. Whatever the reason, I didnt enjoy it as much. Shallow despicable characters I expected. But (contd below)
I picked this book for its cover. My mom got this from goodreads giveaway and I immediately fell in love with its elegant and simple cover. As for the book, it was good. Dont read it if you want a strict biography on Leon Theremin but choose it for its beautiful words. There was almost a poetical quality to the book. It was a very romanticized version of the life of the inventor but then again I was never big into biographies (contd in comments)
People were going crazy for this book and I wanted to read this before I saw the movie. Hated this so much, I didnt even bother with the movie.

@Libby1
1. Inheritance Cycle. Many book series have come and gone, but my love for this remains constant. The book is basically Star Wars set in LoTR era with dragons. There are a lot of parallels between SW and this series but still this series grew on me.
2. Jessica Jones. Currently I can't get enough of this series.
3. No
4. Its a surprise. Even I dont know yet. 😂
5. He says he used to love reading when he was young.

Currently reading this book and I came across the quote.
1. Im a sucker for a good cover.
2. I dont have a porch but even if I did, im more of a snuggle down in bed and read kind of person.
3. Mostly a chapter finished but on occasions I have stopped in the middle.
4. Proper bookmark person.
@SilversReviews
Finally finished it. I liked the book. This is the second motivational/self help book I have read and I didnt regret it. Lets see if I can use this 'secret' to make my life better. Would definitely recommend everyone to read this at least once.
Never plan ahead what you want to read! I planned to read something else and now Im reading this. Looks like Girl on the Train will have to wait some more
Can't wait for my exams to be over so I can finally attack this book!!
