2 - Never read the book, yet the other day we watched the movie, “The Secret.“

My mom always raised my brother and I to think positively, be positive. In our cultural ways, my mom has even taught me that in everything I make, cooking/baking, gardening, craft/arts, to be positive while creating because what you make absorbs the energies.

This movie hit home.

It's impossible to feel sad, or have any negative feeling when you are grateful.

Possibly my least favourite book ever written. (If you're a fan, perhaps don't read my review on GR... it's quite a rant!)

I should give positive thinking more of a chance. My current tactic of wallowing in self pity hasn't exactly been paying off 🤔

1. I think a positive attitude goes a long way, but I don‘t believe in manifestation.

You cannot help the world by focusing on the negative things. As you focus on the world's negative events, you not only add to them, but you also bring more negative things into your own life.

I won't be reading these in order as I'll be playing Bookopoly with my online book club!!

🎧 A self-help book with a lot of ideas that will feel like common sense to some. That said, some things are easier said than done and there are some helpful positive ideas within the cover of this book. When they said you could cure cancer with wishful thinking I immediately took 2 stars off of my review. There‘s quite a bit of religion. The secret is just a piece of a bigger puzzle. It‘s a pick due to the mostly harmless positive message. ⭐️⭐️⭐️

🦋 Well it was so nice to see the sunshine a few times this week. We‘ve had nonstop rain all winter long.

🌈 I like to listen to a variety of music, but Maroon 5 always boosts my mood.

Very motivational for a start, but what if I'm already too deep in everythibg that secret is not, or on the side of the darkest secrets?

What if dark is comfortable that it transform into desire?
