First read of 2020 🥳

In honor of the incredible, late Toni Morrison ✨ I‘ve read more than half of this book in less than a day! That says more about her as an author than me.

I‘m loving this book about sexuality, identity, and the importance of healthy love!

Thankful for breaks during teaching 3rd graders at summer school to read books that don‘t have pictures 😂

I love graphic novels and I love memoirs, so this book is PERFECT.

Sidenote: Aristotle and Dante Discover the Secrets of the Universe is a beautiful book about the exploration of sexuality and identity for boys. Totally recommend!

Snow day in STL, round 2! Except this time, my wine has been switched out for peppermint tea and my man is home 😍 I started The Mortal Instruments series about two months ago, fell in love, and thanks to a super sweet coworker, have access to all the books!

Living my best book nerd life right now! We let out early because we‘re expecting up to 14 inches (!!!) of snow in STL, so now I get to cuddle with my cat, drink a glass of wine, read and watch the snow fall on the city 😍

Anyone who knows me at all, knows I LOVE Michelle Obama. (Like, serious girl crush over here) I have been waiting to read this at the perfect time and I am so, so excited! #3of55for2019

As a middle and high school SPED teacher, a lot of holiday break is spent making sure my students will have a wonderful semester with engaging lessons. Tomorrow will be spent rereading through these two gems to write and revise curriculum for the upcoming quarter! We‘re reading Hatchet for HS and Persepolis for MS. Also, super pumped about the essential question we‘ll be exploring this unit: What does it mean to survive?
