October 9 - The Daily Photo Challenge - Prompt: magic
This one has also a moon which maybe can also count for the #ominousoctober photo challenge. 🤷🏻♀️
#scarathlondailyprompts #theredscrollsofmagic #scarathlon22 #teammonstermash #scarathlon #vampire #dailyphotochallenge
Extra special #ShadowhunterSunday because it's my Birthday!
Today's Prompt: #summertimevibes - What characters would you want to hang with on a summer vacation? Magnus Bane! Loved the Epic European Vacation he planned in The Red Scrolls of Magic.
Magnus would definitely appreciate the atmosphere of NOLAs Tulsa Whiskey Chapel and Vieux Carre Cocktails.
Remember “Many a mission to end a great evil has failed because of low blood sugar.” 🥃
I'm not always a fan of Clare's work for some reason, but this one was a fun read. I haven't read all of this series, but I knew enough from reading the Mortal Instruments books to follow along. The action and characterization news fun and held my interest, and the cocky dialogue never disappointed. #Fantasy #LGBTQ
My first finish for #Roll100! I might not get to my second roll this month because I'm waiting a library hold.
I'm always reading many books at once, but here are the 3 I'm most actively reading this weekend! One manga, one audiobook, and one ebook. Each of these are part of my #JoyousJanuary goals (I need to revise my Heart Break Bakery goal because I reached it before the challenge started). The Red Scrolls of Magic is also one of my #Roll100 picks.
#WeekendReading @Andrew65
I started reading the Shadowhunter series after I watched the TV series in 2019, I have enjoyed every single book. This one is about one of my favorite characters Magnus Bane (Warlock) and Alec Lightwood (Shadowhunter)The author truly made the characters vulnerable, strong with weaknesses and very believable. It is one of the best novels that describes the inner turmoil of finding your true self. A great read for readers with an open mind.
I almost forgot to post my #Roll100 books for January! My list is made entirely of audiobooks I've marked as to-read on Libby. I'm at least going to read one of this month's rolled books this month.
(Also, @PuddleJumper I love these dice and that you name your sets! Mine are all just tossed in a dice bag together so I never use any of my complete sets...)
Loved this one also. So enjoyed getting background about Magnus, who, next to Dobby, is my favorite character.
This week‘s listen. I‘m a big fan of Casandra Clare, but a bigger fan of Magnus Bain. As with all her others, I‘m pretty sure I‘ll love this one.
Sorry again for not being here, active and you know giving love back.
I'll post some reviews of the books I've read lately. Most of them very good.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️/5 I really enjoyed reading more about Magnus and Alec
I loved being back in the world of the shadow hunters & I absolutely love Magnus character, so I was excited to read this story which didn't disappoint. I enjoyed being swept up in Magnus & Alec's developing relationshp which showed the hesitant & sometimes insecure nature of first love & learning to trust in each other and & the ability to not just love but be loved
I just loved this book which made me smile & gave me lots of warm fuzzy feelings
Cherry and I have moved on to The Red Scrolls of Magic! As much as I love Malec I‘m a little skeptical for this one, I must admit. I hope to finish this by the end of this week but it is my birthday week so I might be a little busy! 🎈What are you currently reading? I hope everyone is having a fabulous start to their week 😘 #CassandraClare #shadowhunters #currentlyreading #malec #theredscrollsofmagic #theeldestcurses #yafantasy

I LOVED THIS!
Magnus and Alec are such a cute couple and it was great to see their relationship develop in this book.
And not too long to wait for the second book of The Eldest Curses 🥰
But do I get the special edition with extra stories? because I like the non-special covers better (like this one)... tough decisions
#ReadYourSign #Aries
This fits Prompt 1 - published between March 21st and April 19th
and Prompt 8 - Spirit colour in the title
Starting this one this morning. It has been on my #TBR for ages and I love Magnus and Alec, so I am very excited for this one!
And it also fits 2 of the #ReadYourSign prompts :)
My reading buddy likes to lick/eat paper so I have to watch him when he is near my books!
#DogsOfLitsy #Aries
#ReadYourSign week one photo challenge is my TBR.
I pledged to read 3 books (I am also doing a buddy read of volume 4 of Les Mis alongside this month) and this is a tentative list of books that fit some of the #Aries prompts!
I will definitely be reading Dragon down under as it is one of this months #PLC books, and I want to read outlander, but I‘m scared it‘s too much of a chunkster!
@Meaw_catlady @Clwojick
I know I don't normally do paperback unless they were never in hardcover, but they changed the cover for the Clare book and this is so much better than the hard cover.
out now in HC, paperback May 4

Read a few books while I was off litsy that I just wanted to put on my list as completed.
⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ 1/2
I have a tendency to rush through books on first reads because I want to know what happens. Re-reads I slowly savor the story.
Love when author's fill in bits that happen off page. Magnus & Alec have always been part of big cast but here they're main characters. You see their doubts & fears that lead to the infamous Page 511 in City of Lost Souls. You also see the Beginnings of their Epic Love Story. 📚

Who needs real life? This right here is why I read Fantasy. "Magnus conjured up a chilled bottle of Pol Roger and placed it on the counter. He raised two glasses and smiled as they filled on their own, leaving the cork intact in the bottle even as the level of champagne lowered." ??

I want to travel in Magnus Bane Style. I Googled. Grand Suite on the Orient Express is roughly just over $8500.00.

One of my all-time favorite couples. They decide to go to Europe for a romantic retreat, but every romantic moment is ruined by demons. I love Magnus Bane and I am so happy that Alex and he are finally the main characters and not just part of the supporting cast.

Thank you so much @Bookworm54 for this beautiful book! It arrived today, and it is so pretty and in perfect condition! I can‘t wait to read it and jump into the adventures of Magnus and Alec!
Nice easy read for a Sunday afternoon. Love Magnus and Alec and it was so much fun to spend more time with their story.
Yay! More Magnus!!!
Seem to be on a bit of a shadowhunters binge at the minute, I know I‘m not going to be happy until I‘ve read them all...
I just borrowed this audiobook from the library, for when I'm in the car. I loved the Infernal Devices trilogy, so I have high hopes for this book. #YA #audiobook
This was pretty good but could have been better. I still enjoyed it though.
⭐⭐⭐⭐
This was an amazing addition to the shadowhunters universe and I am glad I finally know what happened on the trip to Europe. So excited for the next book to come out. I.love love love Magnus and Alec . I am so happy that Cassandra clare decided to write this book
Does it sound like a great-aunt? I wonder why 🤣 #harrypotterreferences
It was great to see Magnus and Alec get their own book. The mix of darkness (the cult) and light (the glib wit) didn‘t always work for me and the villain was hella obvious, but in all I thought it was a good summer read - somewhere between a so so and a pick.
1. The Water Dancer, tagged, that new one about the dying language in Papua New Guinea.... 2. From the observation deck of the Eiffel Tower, the city was spread at Magnus Bane‘s and Alec Lightwood‘s feet like a gift 3. Coming up in my next post #weekendreads
loved this so much. Alec and Magnus have always been my favourite couple from the Shadowhunters books. It was brilliant to have a book of just them. This is set during the mortal instruments series so did confuse me for a moment as I've read the later ones but it does explain a few incidents more deeply. The story itself was full of drama and romance. The detail as always was well written and the ending was perfect. I look forward to the next one
It's that time again. I'm quite busy this weekend but I thought I'd give it a go anyway. Good luck all taking part and have fun

Cassandra Clare is SUCH a storyteller. After indulging in the series finale of the Shadowhunters television series, I was definitely in the mood for more Alec and Magnus, and this fabulous adventure novel, which Clare co-wrote with Wesley Chu, satisfied that craving. The couple is so sweet, and I loved the way the book dovetailed with the rest of Clare's work. (continued in comments)
I really enjoyed reading more about Magnus and Alec. There was enough plot to keep things interesting but not too much to distract from the character stuff. Just loved it! #shadowhunterchronicles
Cassandra Clare did not disappoint...I was missing her Mortal Instruments characters... Waiting to see more of Magnus & Alec in the next book...
#Goodreads2019ReadingChallenge
This might be the raciest #ya book I've ever read. Not complaining! I thoroughly enjoyed it even though it reads like fanfic, and it certainly helped satisfy my #Malec withdrawal. This is basically what I wanted the #Shadowhunters tv series to be: Alec & Magnus going on adventures, getting into trouble, saving each other, and most importantly being in love. Great read for #PrideMonth too. #weneeddiversebooks #teachersoflitsy #summervacation
I started reading two new books today and both of them have blue covers. Coincidence? Possibly, or then my brain was trying to tell me something😂 I was pleasantly surprised to find the tagged book from the local bookstore because now I don‘t have to buy it from Sweden next week! #translatedbooks #shadowhunterchronicles
“He stood in the middle of his Paris apartment with the man he loved, and felt very alone.” That moment when reading when you get to a line that resonates and takes you away into your own thoughts for a while. I‘ve had a divorce thrown at me after 25 years of marriage and I‘ve spent much of it feeling like that quote - without the benefit of a Paris apartment. Perhaps I will be better off after all...
At this rate, I will never freaking finish this book because i keep having to pause to squeal over it. GAH SO CUTE!!!!!!
