pickI absolutely love this comic book series! How could you not with a lady robot and steampunk! Plus I love the glasses!! Squee! This one is about her protecting the girl and finding her grandfather who has found weapons that the Germans want. Full of action and adventure!

The first volume of the series was great, so I‘m excited to be starting the next one!
pickThis second volume by creator and writer, Joe Benitez, was even better than the first. The artwork is first rate (even though some idiot with a pencil defaced the library book on some pages - which royally pissed me off), and the storytelling is top notch. I plan on adding this series to my own personal collection! The cover on this volume is even more beautiful than the first.

I enjoyed this adventurous volume. It was fun and very in the style of Indiana Jones/Tomb Raider. There were a few points in story that made me want to re-read vol 1 (i will, later). And the artwork is still amazing. This series remains enjoyable to me 😉 👍

pickI found the storyline much easier to follow than in volume 1, as it was a more straightforward rescue story. However, this volume reads like a standalone, since it is a self-contained storyline that does not relate at all to the open plot points from the first volume. Still, an enjoyable adventure story with gorgeous artwork. #24in48

In the second volume of the Lady Mechanika series, the mechanically modified heroine is joined by a spunky young genius named Winifred, as well as a band of female warriors from the Congo. These comics are extremely girl-power oriented, and I am 100% here for it. The story line in this volume was just as interesting as the first volume, and the artwork continues to be stunning.
Can't sleep yet, so starting on volume 2.
What a crazy week of inclement weather and work! I'm so glad that I have a 3-day weekend so that I can rest, relax and read!!!
