Before leaving Richmond yesterday, I stopped by @FountainBookstore for the first time. So 👏 much 👏 fun!!!!! I picked up The Bookshop of Yesterdays which has been on my #TBR for a few months, but I also grabbed a “blind date” book. Besieged looks fun and has received great Litsy reviews. All in all, I totally won yesterday. It made the HORRIBLE traffic home bearable.

This was a great group of short stories (all new except for one), most of which tied together and led in nicely to the next book. I can‘t wait to get my hands on it! I particularly liked how a bunch tied together, but were told by different characters‘ POV. And dang you Morrigan for leaving us with that warning to end on.

I‘ve got two for today! The first one I thought of when I read the prompt yesterday and the second popped up in my short story last night so I had to share. Here‘s the second #Cliche quote for today‘s #QuotsyNov17

This is a nice collection, but I don't think the short stories are as good as some of the other ones, particularly the cheese story. I think these stories don't fit into the time line of the book series as well, but I really enjoyed Owen's revelation about Atticus and how proud he is of him. I would give it 2.5/5 stars. Read it if you love the series, but don't judge the series by this collection

Negative: I Really thought 'The Purloined Poodle' was in here ... grrrr now I have to read the ebook

Loved it, though my anxiety is toast now lol. It was crazy packed and I was there for @KevinHearne whom I've already had the pleasure of taking a picture with, so I figured this would do so others could have their chance.

Really enjoyed Kevin Hearne's visit on Tuesday. And the new audio was a blast. He shared that the much beloved model for the series main character (left) is now under exclusive contract to do underwear modeling, so they had to use a photo from an old shoot for this cover, take a separate pic of the other character and then match up the lighting by digitally altering the photos. Interesting! #audiobook

I love the Iron Druid Chronicles series and this book of short stories is a good way to tide me over until the next full length novel is released. It's nice to have stories told front the viewpoints of Granuaile, Owen, and Perun, in addition to the ones with Atticus.

Got to hang out with Kevin Hearne last night at @FountainBookstore , drinking whiskey and talking about books and the truly awesome fans that came out for the kick off of his new book tour. He made sure every fan who waited in the heat and mass of people got their books signed and pictures taken. Such an awesome night full of (Druid) magic!
