I loved the art work throughout this book and the megging behind the story
I really enjoyed this book and the journey of the bad seed and what his bad behavior caused. I think this book would be super important in a classroom setting as to encourage students to understand bad behavior has consequences!
Teaches children that they can be happy even after everything that‘s happened to them.
He was actually a sunflower seed. Something changed in him. He‘d become a bad seed
“I was born a humble seed on a simple sunflower in an unremarkable field.”
This book is a great story for children to explain that nobody is perfect. It also emphasizes the importance of trying your best. Overall, it would be great a way to introduce how to make good choices in a classroom.
Week 2: Picture book! This book is a really good story to teach students about respect. This gives examples on what NOT to do at school or in life. Overall, tells a great story and encourages kids to act with kindness. Published April 8th, 1954.
I can‘t explain why but I picked this up yesterday and now I need to read the whole series.

The Bad Seed by Jory John is about a seed with a temper and bad attitude. This book is about him and his journey to be happy.
This is a great book about behavior that would be extremely beneficial to a classroom.
This book is a humorous picture book published in 2017. The bad seed never listens and is always causing trouble. But one day, he cracks, and he realizes being bad is not all that. He starts to change and becomes a better seed. This story has a great message and is very funny, and I will definitely use this in my classroom!
My 5 year old got his Scholastic order today at school. We read The Bad Seed together for the first time and I must say, it's all too relatable. I had a misguided childhood and spent a lot of years working out trauma and depression. I'm better now, not perfect but better. This book gets me. I was a bad seed as well. 🌰🖤
This book is about a bad seed that has a bad temper, bad manners, and a bad attitude but one day decides he wants to be happy! This book is a F book that would be great for S. https://www.pinterest.com/pin/393853929904939699/
The UDL principal 9.3 develop self-assessment and reflection and EL 19 establish predictable classroom routines through the use of an outline on the board will go well with this website because it will show the students
This hilarious NY Times bestseller, MF book is perfect for a RA with young students. Teaching them a lesson that positive change is possible for everyone! I read this to my students a while back and they loved it! This teacher came up with fun ways to relate the book to real life! This relates to UDL 9.2 in the way that these activities can teach students how to deal with negativity & being positive.
This F, New York Times Best Seller is so cute and perfect for a RA. This story is about a bad seed who one day decides to change his ways. Students will learn from this story that change starts with one step at a time and that one good change can go a long way. #ucflae3414sp20
The website linked below provides many teacher resources with extension activities for this book.

These are two very fun F books! The Bad Seed was a final nominee in Carolina Childrens Book Award. I have attached a link where a K teacher used The Bad Seed to teach about kindness counselorkeri.com/2018/03/09/the-bad-seed where the book was used as a RA. Facilitating personal coping skills and strategies (UDL 9.2) and providing contextual support (ESOL 17) could be met with this lesson plan. #ucflae3414sp20
Cute story. This was an impulse read, it‘s part of the free prime reading. 😊 #impulseread #wintergames #tmskellington @Crimson613 @Clwojick @StayCurious
Very cute story about a “baaaaaad” seed who decides to change his ways. #WinterGames #TheFilthyAnimals #TBRRead
The Bad Seed written by Jory John and illustrated by Pete Oswald is a great nonfiction book that is also a NY Times Bestseller! This book is about a seed that one day turned into a bad seed after someone spit him out and he took a hard fall. One day, he decided he didn‘t want to be bad anymore, he wanted to be good. He still forgets to listen and shows up late but he also says thank you and smiles! #ucflae3414f19

Book fair book haul day 4. My youngest has to do a report on a biography so we got a pack of Who Is? To pick from. He loves bees and sunflower seeds so those he “had to come home with” him. And the librarian read a little of The Bad Guys so it is one of he wanted the most.
Children‘s books have the best endpapers. These are some of our favorites.

Hubby‘s not feeling well so I was on double bedtime duty tonight. The boys chose their books well! #TheBadSeed is SO fun to read aloud and the illustrations in #HaveYouEverSeenaSmackofJellyfish are really stunning. One teaches a lesson, the other some wildlife facts plus the alphabet. What‘s not to love?? Highly recommend both books!

This book tries too hard to send a message about changing one‘s attitude, but I found it lacking. ⭐️⭐️
Thanks so much @EchoLogical ❣️❣️ Holden loves all of his books and goodies! He squealed when he opened Captain Underpants! It‘s all just perfect for him. He‘s a VERY happy little dude this morning! 🤩🤩 #secretsantakids
#UCFLA3414F17 The Bad Seed by Jory John is a modern fantasy. It is an Amazon Best Children's Book. It is the story about a bad seed that has a bad temper and bad manners. It talks about positive changes for the main character.
The Bad Seed, a children‘s literature book written by Jody Johns, tells the story about a bad seed. A really, REALLY BAAAAAAAAAAD seed! He has a bad temper and manners, but one day, he decides to be happy and everything changes! This book could be used for a read-aloud in class, as more often than not, our students will have behavioral problems. A UDL I️ found for this: 9.3, which is to develop self-assessment and reflection.
Jory John breaks my heart and makes me be healed all over again.
Oh my God! I know this guy! (Sometimes I AM this guy.) #whatmakesabadseed
Just crossing my desk today, these two picture books are my favorites right now. 😂😂👍
