pickI love both the movie and this book. There is something fascinating about this furious revenge story. I teared up, I laughed (sometimes in horror), but most importantly, I kept reading. Anyone, at any time, realizing their own power and abilities is a beautiful thing. 🥂
This book isn‘t subtle enough to be about #karma but it‘s a fun read. I suspect the movie hasn‘t aged well though?

Needed something fizzy and fun to watch the other night, so rewatched one of my childhood faves. During the amazing title sequence I saw it was based on a book so I got it out of the library. The book is very much not fizzy but I‘ll admit I am fascinated. It‘s class porn. It‘s brash. It‘s got a surprising amount of sex.

So I read First Wive's Club. I really enjoyed it. It made me so angry how horribly vile these men were to the women they once “loved“. So part of this made me so angry and it was a bit difficult on some parts to read it. But overall I really enjoyed the book.

I don't refuse to read... But I have not been into Danielle Steele. I am sure they are good. But yeah. I had tried once (way too long ago because it was something my mother read) but... I couldn't. I just couldn't... Maybe now that I am older?

Tom Hanks :) When I used to watch more romance type movies was when I was younger with my mother -- and she had such a crush on Tom Hanks. I love him too!!!
I mean I am married so.. no? But I feel like all the drama usually resolves at the end and everything works out. So maybe yes?

pickSo I finished this book today :) I really enjoyed it so much! I will be re-watching the movie soon :) But yeah, this gave me such strong feelings. I have such strong feelings about how we get treated sometimes and how unfair things can be. I love how these women took their lives into their own hands! (Also using this as another “Free“ space for #BookSpinBingo)

Is Mean Girls Chick-Lit? It might be more “coming of age“ . Hmm I don't really watch a ton of Chick-Lit (Actually I am either a horror/sci-fy/psychological thriller water or Disney) So yeah a bit limited. But I do love me some Mean Girls :)
So I like Dolly Parton. I am going to count her as a favorite leading lady (even if I cant' think of a movie of hers). Dolly is all sorts of goals!

So I am going to be reading First Wives Club. I am at the part where they are talking about their horrible ex's but... haven't started the revenge portion of the book. I am hoping it picks up then!
I just google searched popular Chick-Lit and realized I hadn't read much of this genre. I guess I am would say a Jodi Piccoult book? But I think its more drama?
