This is the 15th Pendergast novel. In this one, Pendergast and Constance go to investigate a wine theft in Exmouth. There, they also discover a body boarded in the cellar's wall.

Hokey Smokes! This was moving along as a riveting thriller, then about 3/4 way thru it made a hard left turn and became a horror story. I never saw the ending coming and it left so many questions I'll have to read the next book soon. My first book finished for #FabulousFebruary and my #bookspin book for #bookspinbingo

I did not see that ending coming! This book had two seemingly separate mysteries, that eventually revealed themselves to be tangentially related. Pendergast and Constance deeply underestimate the danger of their latest adventure. There is a lighthouse, stolen wine, missing treasure, a shipwreck, witches, demons, a monster. What is real? What is true? What will happen next? I actually yelled, “NOOOOOO!” at the end of this book. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
This is my #screamathon2020 pile and I hope to put in a dent during #cyoreadathon starting tomorrow! @Sace @4thhouseontheleft
Book #15 in the Agent Pendergast series. Thus book had a different pace to it. Around the 60% dine mark the initial mystery seemed solved and I wasn‘t sure what to expect. But then there was quite a twist, and it ends on a cliffhanger! I feel like the character of Pendergast has come a long way thru these 15 books and I‘m eager to see what happens a next.
Not my favorite Pendergast book, but not my least favorite either. It was a fast read and most of the books in this series are not.
These books are just for my #Mounttbrchallenge I have other books for other challenges. I also have other piles of unread books but hopefully I can get through these this year. 🤞

This one started out really good and got pretty weird and kind of unbelievable at the end. Overall, pretty good thriller though. I still want to read the whole series.
Is it just a bit weird that I have a slight crush on an eccentric fictional person named Aloysoius Pendergast?
Mark this day! This is me leaving the used bookstore with only the book they had held for me!! #bookhaul #ididntevenlookaround
My January reading stats. I planned to take it easy this month, but I ended up reading more than usual. 😄I finished my book 📚 last night, so I am starting the month fresh, with no bookish holdover.
This book was great. A return to the Pendergast of old with a nice stand alone mystery. The first 3/4 was awesome. The last part was a little unexpected and went in a whole new direction. It felt almost like two separate stories. I am really looking forward to the next book in the series.
"A glabrous pate"? Who are you trying to impress with your fancy vocabulary? Why not just say "a bald head"?
Look at this gorgeous bookmark 😍

#favoritefandom #octphotochallenge I hope this counts! Stephen King fans will always be my favorite. Also the Team Pendergast fans on Facebook are pretty great, even though I'm horrible at participating in their discussions. Finding friends who love the books that I love makes me happy.
Agent Pendergast is the ultimate Mary Sue - he can do anything and survive anything. Of course, there's a cliffhanger so hopefully I can get the next book soon!
Today's #labsoundtrack - a continuation of the Pendergast series that my Dad and I both love (one of the very few common reading interests for us).
#withamap #somethingforsept One of the few books I own with a map inside. It's also the only book I own that has been signed by the authors 😍
A fair addition to the Pendergast series. However, it's almost like reading two different books. The first two thirds are a murder mystery/thriller. The last third changes to a horror story and a prelude to the next book. I won't spoil anything, but I DO want to see what happens in the next installment.
My guilty addiction. I love this series, especially between serious books.
Love all books by these guys. This goes from crime detective to horror before you know! Very entertaining!
The latest in the Pendergast series (#15) does not disappoint! Unpredictable plot lines had me turning pages till the very end.
D Preston & L Child do not write fast enough... Mr. Pendergast is such a great character. I am sure Gideon is also, I just have not put time to that series yet.
