Ok so I didn‘t like the ending…. But otherwise good read …. And yes I know there‘s another book but I don‘t have it so … I‘ll have to wait to find out what‘s next 🤗📖
Starting this as it‘s been on my shelf from before I moved out here 🤨📖
Excellent, truly. Now do I buy the next two on my kindle and read them now or buy the paperbacks and wait…
How on earth did I bond so deeply with a minor character so quickly that when they left it tore my heart into pieces and made me cry?!?!?!!?!??? HOW? She wasn‘t even in the Book for more than a few sentences?!?!!!!!!!!!
For #September #12in2021 I‘m back to two books - I loved Seafire and actually the whole trilogy I ended up binging! #9thbookof2021
Seafire has great high seas adventure, amazing female characters and a plot that will leave you wanting more.
Quince is a fantastic graphic novel about a non traditional superhero and I absolutely loved this story of family and finding your inner strength.

#TBRPile 📚 “Caledonia stretched along the prow of the Ghost as the ship sliced through black water.”
Wow! I amazed myself by finishing 35 books in September even with how crazy work was. My friends kept me reading and maybe I escaped into some books. Some stand outs were The Circus Rose, The Seafire Trilogy, the beautiful illustrations in Empire of the Vampire and such a good start to a series, Quince and Almost American Girl.
This was horrible. I was all for female pirates but this fell so flat for me. Caladonia was a horrible captain. She didn't trust her closest friend and second in command. Then started treating her like crap for bringing a boy on board, accusing her of having feelings for said boy. Then later Caladonia forking kissed the boy!! The fork!! So irritating. The world building was non existent. It left me confused.
Welp, finished my library book, and now it looks like ima just have to own this some day because 😍. I loved everything about it. Perfect read to kick of 2021. And cathartic as hell, too!

Finished this one tonight. Between a pick and so so. The ending made it a pick because I thought that was the most exciting part and made me curious about the next book. Some chapters dragged and I felt there were too many characters to get a feel for them all in this one book. Maybe the second book will change that? Glad it‘s read though for #bookspinbingo
Girl power! This was a fun quick read, personally it needed more suspense and action but still entertaining. 4 stars.

I dont know if it was the book or these weird times, but I never really connected with the story or the characters. I doubt I'll read the sequel.
I spent this past week working doubles at work, but I was so hooked by Natalie C. Parker‘s SEAFIRE that I managed to finish it. This YA about an all-girl crew evading pirates and hunting for their lost loved ones is exciting from beginning to end. I loved it, and I‘m looking forward to reading the second book. Also a rare case where a book that has two covers that I like both of them. #Seafire #NatalieCParker #audiobook
#7Days7Covers #CoverCrush #day7 this one of my favorite
Since my previous audiobook ended up being a bust, I was nervous how my next choice would turn out. I don‘t remember what prompted me to put the Seafire audiobook on my holds list, but I‘m glad I did. I‘m enjoying this book a lot. Natalie C. Parker has written an action-packed nail-biter of a book. Rebecca Soler also does a great job reading it. I‘ve no doubt I‘m gonna plow through this one. #audiobook #Seafire #NatalieCParker
I can go either way with pirate books, but I was a fan of this! Caledonia Styx is the Captain of an all female pirate ship. The crew have all lost their families and friends to the Warlord Aric, so they spend their time attacking his ships. Can't wait for the sequel! #pirates #YA #sisterhood
Harrowing adventure story. Far more science fiction/action based that I was expecting; for some reason I thought it would be more fantasy and less guns and solar sails. The characters were fairly well developed even though there were several women, which I can imagine was somewhat difficult for the author to differentiate that many personalities. A little cheesy, but I'll continue reading the story.
There‘s just something about a crew of badass seafaring women that‘s always gonna reel me in. A bit predictable and cliche at times, but if you enjoy swashbuckling adventures or strong, interesting female characters, it‘s easy to look past the flaws.
This was a very fun if somewhat predictable YA novel about seafaring girls seeking revenge. I have obviously already put the sequel on pre-order

This is making my drive to work an adventure filled with pirates and strong females
So this has been on my TBR for awhile now so I‘m starting it now 📖😋👏🏼
I really enjoyed this one. I always give authors credit for writing a pirate book. It could be hard because majority of the time they are just on a boat and it could get boring. I didn‘t feel that way about this one. It‘s an all female pirate crew. It was very entertaining and I can‘t wait to read the next one.
This is the bit that made me fall in love with Seafire: “Remember, when they call you girl, they‘re trying to tell you something. They‘re trying to tell you that they‘re more than you, that the body you‘re in makes you less. But you know, and I know, that you‘re exactly what you need to be.”
Seafire is an incredibly fun adventure, full of feminist energy and strength. It‘s the first part in a futuristic, steampunk, pirate young adult book. 4⭐️/5.
I‘m home on this snow day with my wife and cats and we‘re all enjoying some reading time together. Wife is finally reading “Seafire” even though I told her how good it was MONTHS ago. 🌊🔥
“Remember when they call you girl, they're trying to tell you something. They're trying to tell you that they're more than you, that the body you're in makes you less. But you know, and I know, that you're exactly what you need to be.”
This is the second pirate book that I read this month. Both had strong female characters running a ship of their own. I really enjoyed the book, but I could have done without the unnecessary m/f romance.
For Christmas I got $90 worth of cash and gift cards and with the holiday sale at B&N, I was actually under budget 🙌 I had a great day with one of my BFFs! She gave me a bag of goodies as well, and I LOVE my shirt and socks! Excited for these books, especially Seafire, it is the second book I have ever seen in my life where the main character‘s name is Caledonia ❤️ Memoir, Thriller, Fantasy, YA, and smut... think I got all my bases covered 😊
I recently started a new job. This is the first night in a while I‘ve been able to sit down and relax and read my book. I‘m gonna enjoy it while i can, before the craziness of the holidays. How do you guys juggle real adulting life and being a bookworm? #seafire #bookworm #adulting
Hi everyone! I finished the audio book Seafire tonight. I really enjoyed it. This was my favorite pirate book so far about girls want revenge. Now I have to wait for the next book to come out. #litsy #kindle #kindlefire #paperwhite #library
This book started out a bit slow for me but def got better. The author did a good job laying the foundation for the rest of the trilogy. The characters are likeable and imperfect. I'm looking forward to the next installment.
These are all the books I bought today! My mailman is going to love me next week 😂😂😂
I‘m super behind on posting so I am going to post a bunch in a row. This one was pretty solid but also a huge set up for a series.
Thanks again for the #SeafireGiveaway @InBooksILive!! I was so excited to get the extra goodies in addition to the book! And the bookplate & author's letter in the book! Thank you so much!
My complete October read list. Miss Peregrine is a re-read so I can get to Map of Days. I have a huge TBR for November!
About to finish this gem and my 8 year old is by my side. I love how my kids love reading too!
