This was interesting, but a bit repetitive. The ending for me was super rushed and the twist was a bit unbelievable. I just didn‘t think that it fully worked. I definitely am still questioning a lot. It was a quick read with an interesting concept, but I think it needed to be better thought out.
Oh @Chrissyreadit - what a wonderful winter holiday gift!! Thank you so much — and for always being so sweet & thoughtful - I‘m grateful for your friendship! I had a … very rough & tumble week, ending with more bad news (on the car front), & these gifts were such an appreciated lift me up! 🤗💙❄️🤍😘
Also, how cool to have used @Rachel.Rencher ‘s mystery book shop on Etsy - I love it and I‘m so excited to read this book! 🤩
Thank you!! ♥️♥️♥️
BRING ME BACK by B.A. Paris was a big disappointment. It felt forced and overdone, none of the characters are very likable, and it had an improbable conclusion - it just falls flat. I would not recommend this book, it was a struggle to the finish.
I expected so much more from this book.
The beginning was promising, but everything else was just utterly ridiculous.
The characters, the story, the end....
Didn't like it at all...

I liked the characters but the story is a bit strange. The author proves that love alters how one sees the world
You won‘t guess the ending but it is a wow. You can‘t figure out whether you like or hate the main characters but that fact keeps it interesting
Meh. My second BA Paris book and they were both so unbelievable. Just not my cup of tea.
The twist at the end is nice but it couldn't make up for the rest of the slow novel.
Things I liked:
🧡 The premise: Seemed something new.
🧡 The ending: I couldn't guess the twist. Liked what the author did with the story.
⚫The writing: Too Slow. Had to skim!
The characters: The main characters were not interesting enough to be the leads of a thriller novel, the situations and dialogues played an important part in making the novel rough.
Book 36🎧 3⭐️
I will agree, this book says “Russian doll” an excessive amount of times😂 (but I do love my Babushka!🪆)
I stuck it out for the long haul because I FOMO about what actually happened…but the ending just seemed unbelievable... Not quite sure how that would have worked out😵💫
A sprinkle of Stockholm syndrome?🤷🏼♀️
#currentlyreading for a book club tomorrow. If I can get it finished in time anyway. Also dinner.

A man with anger issues is taunted by his ex girlfriend who has been missing for thirteen years. This book had me questioning the moral decisions of every character. Literally every page had me scoffing with disgust as the characters made outrageous request and unwise actions. I wanted to throw the book across the room a number of times. But isn't that what a good book is supposed to do…. is it a good book? I don't know!! 2/26/2021-2/27/2021
So this psychological thriller was pretty good. I don‘t read a ton of these anymore and it‘s really because I can‘t suspend my disbelief. I have a hard time believing all the little coincidences.
In this one, Finn is no prize and doesn‘t really seem like a great person. But he‘s got all these women that are into him. And I just didn‘t get it. Can‘t say much more without spoiling.
Also, last 4 books I read had characters named Finn in them...
Thrilling! I couldn‘t put this one down. It made a good companion for the past two gloomy days. I will say that I was not a big fan of the ending but I loved it regardless.
Spending my day off reading this new find! The cover is absolutely gorgeous so I had to pick it up. Has anyone else read this novel? What were your thoughts?
“I wait for the images to fade, listening for the sound of somebody's presence, a movement from one of the rooms, a floorboard creaking upstairs. But there is only silence, and the dust of hopes never fulfilled, taunting me with what could have been, if only I'd acted differently.”
Well this was a wild ride. I read this book quickly and thought it was pretty good, although rather unbelievable and far fetched. For a quick mystery read, it‘s good.
I just finished this book and I am not sure how I feel about it. I was really loving it until the ending. I don‘t like the way it ended but the last line in the book kind of saved it..... maybe?
Just finished. The ending made the whole book. At first I wasn‘t too impressed especially with how good the breakdown and behind closed doors were but the ending made up for it 👏👏
2/5 - I have to be honest - I didn‘t really enjoy this one! I have to give props that I was able to finish it in only one day, but that‘s about it. I disliked the characters, I disliked the plot, and I really disliked the ending. Ugh, I‘m moody about it, but I think it‘s because I really liked The Breakdown (by the same author), but this was just ughhhhhh. Not for me.

Rage reading this all the way to the end. I hate that I can‘t stop listening. Around 50% of the way through, it got ridiculous. I couldn‘t put it away though. I had to figure out how B. A. Paris tied this all up. It‘s worse than I thought, but I do feel vindicated that I disliked Ellen from the start.
While not my favorite B.A. Paris book, it was still quite enjoyable with its cleverly crafted tangled web that kept me guessing. More drama than thriller, this tale is full of obsession, secrets and suspense. The pacing was perfect with short chapters and mini-cliffhangers I couldn‘t put it down. The twist was disappointing for me but overall still enjoyable. Cathleen McCarron and Kevin Hely do a terrific job bringing these characters to life.
I really wanted to like this. The build up was great but I hated the ending. The way it was wrapped up just didn‘t do it for me. I did figure out what was going on, but I had hoped there was something more to the story. The buildup was there so that there could have been more but there wasn‘t. I gave it 2 stars on Goodreads.
A little ‘light‘ reading. I started it a day or so ago. I had to fill in with something because I lost the other book I was reading so I have to wait for the bookstore to bring it in again. In the mean time... 🤷🏾♀️😉🙂

How did I choose this book: My favourite genre of books is thriller so I decided to read this book, especially because the summary got me interested in what would happen later on.
I won't judge the author by a single book but while the story was mildly interesting, I felt as if the entire story was being retold every few minutes. Finn's decade-younger girlfriend goes missing after a fight. Her sister turns up and after a while, they're getting married. Signs keep turning up that the girl isn't missing, chaos ensues but in a silly kind of way. I ended up listening to this on 1.75x just to finish it.
This book is going in circles so fast that I'm getting dizzy!!! The story is interesting but it's really drawn out and circular... I feel like they're only saying a few words over and over... 🤪
Giving this a listen while I count up Box Tops for Education. 😁 The PTA is killing me slowly!!! Lol
I read this book today. It was pretty good. Some parts were predictable, but I still enjoyed it. #TeamSlaughter
I enjoyed the narration and listened to this in about 3 main chunks so I would say I obviously found it compelling. I had 2 possibilities for the end result and my 2nd choice turned out to be correct. I liked Finn because I found him to be complicated and not completely likeable, nor necessarily reliable.

The end was predictable and I‘m not use to reading mystery books 🤷🏾♀️it was still an okay read .
A quick read. Enjoyed it until I got to the end, then it all got a bit silly. Preferred the alternate ending.
Audiobook - loved the narration. I enjoyed how the story is slowly developed. A bit of a thriller mystery. I waffled between liking the main character and being a afraid and hating him. It was great!! There‘s a sad lesson to be learned. Perfect ending. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
