This Tender Land was the most beautiful story I've read this year. Krueger did a fantastic job of getting you to feel for each of these characters. I wanted to protect them, I was rooting for them, I wanted the best for them, I hurt for them, and I felt like I knew them. I was enthralled by the situations and characters these kids encountered along the way; everything was so well-written and fully developed. #thistenderland

I love seeing how much my grandson enjoys reading. He's in the 2nd grade and he's an advanced reader. His mom reads with him daily, he reads on his own, and when he's at our house on the weekends, we read together as well. He visits the library with me, and enjoys perusing the aisles and checking out new books. I also enjoy buying him books. Here is part of my latest #bookoutlethaul with all the books I purchased for my grandson.

I absolutely loved this story. From page one the story draws you in and I was hooked. The Starless Sea was adventurous, magical, atmospheric, mysterious, and I loved reading every single page. #thestarlesssea

Every now and then you totally hype yourself up for a book and it lives up to every single expectation. This book is 780 pages, but it's good from start to finish. There was no point where it lulled for me or where my eyes glazed over, there was no point where I felt bored. I was fully engaged. I'm in total awe of what Chuck Wendig with the story. I loved this book so much and I have so many thoughts and feelings about it. #wanderers

I just discovered Bookly yesterday and used it for the first time today. It's a pretty cool app. I'm definitely going to continue using the free version to see if it's something I want to keep using and upgrade to the Pro version. Anyone else using Bookly?

The Silent Patient was a very well-written book. The story was interesting and definitely kept you engaged. It's the kind of story you can read in one sitting as I did today.

About fireworks?
About love. About how often we mistake love for fireworks - for drama and dysfunction. But real love is very quiet, very still. It's boring, if seen from the perspective of high drama. Love is deep and calm-and constant. I imagine you do give Kathy love-in the true sense of the word. Whether or not she is capable of giving it back to you is another question.

It's hard to imagine two women more different than Kathy and Alicia. Kathy makes me think of light, warmth, color, and laughter. When I think of Alicia, I think only of depth, of darkness, of sadness. Of silence.

Starting this book today. I picked it up from the library two weeks ago and I couldn't hold out any longer. I put a pause on Middlegame so I could dig into this story.

I have a lot of mixed feelings about this book. I loved the Wayward Children series, but I'm not enjoying Middlegame as much as I thought I would. I'm only 340 pages in. We'll see how I feel once I finish this book.
