Playlist for today. I been pretty heavy on the halloween and pop metal covers lately. I guess spotify thinks I need some angry, screaming metal today. 🎶 🎵

Some were good, some were better, some just ok.

For all you book ghouls and audio necromancers (ooh, #audiomancers, let‘s make that a thing!), @4thhouseontheleft is once again hosting #Screamathon in the month of October. I‘ve already got my plan for a spooky costume, and it‘s a killer idea! 😈
Some really great authors in here! I skipped a few stories here and there that were either too gross for me or just didn't spark my interest. The hardest part for me was trying to figure out the age range for this book. In some cases it felt that the age of writing was too young for the story being told. I think this may be a case of my expectations being too high. So even though it's a so-so I'm still happy to have it on my shelf.
I've been reading this off and on since it was released 2 years ago! I'm horrible at reading books with short stories. I always have one as a backup to read something if I don't have a lot of time. But tonight, I'm going to finish it finally!
"If you eliminate everything else, all that's left is the zombie ghosts."
Words to live by. Especially these days......
I loved this books!!! It was an awesome mix of spooky stories with stories that taught lessons. I found some amazing authors I want to look into and a few old favorites I had forgotten about. Highly recommend!!!

Wow I really enjoyed all of the stories in this book and I didn‘t realize how quickly the points would add up!
275 points total for 20 stories, 2 set on Halloween, almost all were team.
I read the rest of this and started a new book for #October20in4 and #littenlisten and #outstandingoctober
Overall I read for 11 hours today of audio which means I earned another 440 points with the readathons wow. #scarathlon2020 #teamharkness @StayCurious
This book took me back to my preteen days of devouring every Fear Street, Christopher Pike book that I could get my hands on. The stories seemed geared towards that preteen reader, but I still enjoyed them.
Bonus is that two of the twenty stories takes place on Halloween. 🎃
#TeamHarkness #Scarathon2020 @StayCurious (321pts).

My bedroom stack o books for sleepless nights and early mornings. 📚
Anyone else have a different stack just for their bedroom?
I loved this! I‘m not a huge fan of anthologies but I really loved 95% of the stories in here. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Story # 7 is, appropriately, Rule Seven.
Story of a son and father who's attempts at scaring o e another becomes all too real.
Story # 6, Summer of Sharks.
This story has a lot going on, quinceaneras, were-creatures, shark attacks and gamers. To be honest, this one bored me a bit. I do think it's a fun spooky tale for the MG group.
Story # 5?
Not scary at all, but it gets a million cool points for being set in Colonial Williamsburg and featuring time travel. But, seriously, not a single scare.
Story #4, 5? I can't remember. This one was more cute than scary, though. 3 siblings in a new town go trick or treating and encounter some strange things at the last house of the night.
In the hallway because tornado warnings. Thought I left this behind when we left Oklahoma! Be safe, Littens!
Story #3 Bricks and Bones
Skater boy ends up trapped in a basement of an abandoned building the night before demo... but he's not alone!
Not all that scary, but I did LOVE the ending.
Story #2 Raw Head and Bloody Bones
Twins Tally and Gabr are determined to out scare the competition, which leads them to a mysterious store and the legend of Raw Head and Bloody Bones. How far would you be willing to go to have the scariest haunt on the block?
I actually really liked the ending of this one!
The Best Revenge is pretty cute for a horror story. Brother and sister duo, Freddy and Teddy, keep getting bullied by The Darrow brothers. They beg their father to let them get revenge, but he advises them to turn the other cheek. The ending was definitely my favorite part!
Time for some scary tales! I'm going to try to post a review for each of the stories as I read. First up is a Stine tale of revenge!
For those kids who have outgrown Goosebumps
