โHappiness is not about popularity or outer appearances, it's about being true to yourself.โ
Similarly to the Diary of a Wimpy Kid, this book series is also written in a diary style and targets middle school age children. This series shows children to embrace themselves even if it may seem like they're not โfitting in.โ
This story follows the life of a girl, Nikki Maxwell, as she's learning how to navigate middle school with drama, crushes, and awkward moments. Written in dairy format, and with cute illustrations, children will find it very relatable and entertaining. Nikki's journey of friendship and self discovery will make it a fun read for young children.
this is a very interesting graphic novel. it centers around a young girl and her day to day life. the novel is told in diary form and features drawings from our narrator
I loved this book! One of the first books I remember reading in elementary school, and definitely a book I want to have for students in read in my classroom because it tells a great story!
Just finished this with my oldest niece as a bedtime story. It is very cute and quirky. I chuckled along to this YA humor that I remember relating to. Super cute for young girls who don‘t feel like they fit in at a new school. Nikki makes friends and shows off her art all while trying to avoid her embarrassment with her parents, sister, and all over dorky ness.
Day 25: #laughter
So this time I asked my daughter for the prompt. She said this book and the many others that come in the series keep her laughing all the time and it‘s why this and Diary of a Wimpy Kid are her two fav series! I haven‘t read them@but I have seen her get excited for them and laugh like crazy so I can only assume they are funny haha.

This was the first book I ever read ๐๐ฅถ
An adorable Trick-or-Treater just saw one of my walls of bookish art and totally nerded out. Her favorite books are the Dork Diaries series, which she insisted I HAVE to read! Of course I gave her extra candy... ๐ฌ๐ซ๐ญ๐
She didn‘t make it

Dorky things I say to the hubby: "I need a headlamp since it gets dark at like 4 now and I need to be able to see when I'm outside walking and listening to my audiobooks."
My 2nd grader wants to read this! ๐ So, now it's on my tbr list.
