Finally got around to my #AprilStats Not a great reading month for me,

Hopefully May is better, I always read more if I #moodread rather than try to read books on a schedule(for challenges etc). What kind of a reader are you? A Planner, a Magpie(reading the newest shiny book)or a Free Spirit?
so-soI am passionate about reading to children. I read to my own children all the time. I am becoming a librarian because I feel so strongly about it. But this book simplifies things. Reading aloud will not make your child a genius. It won‘t solve all of their learning difficulties. It won‘t even guarantee that they will become readers in their own lives later on. I have a new a post up today on Book Riot. This one is for my kids, with whom I have been reading for over 20 years. It is really just a love letter to them, so it seems appropriate that it is published today, on my youngest child's 19th birthday.
