I thoroughly enjoyed this book. There was maybe twice where I questioned the author but overall it was great. I would read it again! One of the more enjoyable Romanov Conspiracy fictions!

An odd choice for comfort reading, perhaps, but I‘ve been longing to reread this practically forever, and now seems like a good time. I‘m working on 3 hours of sleep, I said goodbye to my sweet 18 year old kitty this morning, and not only did the washer repair people not show up, I never even got a call that they weren‘t coming. I mean, I‘m assuming that I don‘t need to wait up since their window ended three hours ago, right?
I feel into a little bit of a historical fiction rabbit hole. It was great! This book set up an interesting premise for now and then had cool flashbacks.
Before I start my review a warning that this is one of my favourite genres.
I also can't tell you much about the plot but it works on the idea that Russia is trying to find a new Romanov tzar.
After a slowish start, I really got into this book but it isn't one of the best that I've read in the genre - I normally get through them in 1 or 2 days. It's still 4 ⭐ worth though.

Not sure which Avengers actor's voice I hear this quote in - it's either Samuel L Jackson's, Sebastian Stan's or Chris Evans's. What do you think? The character is Russian so Sebastian makes a bit of sense.
Not what I was expecting to read at 10 o'clock last night...
#lyricalapril #takemetochurch Romanov Prphpecy was excellent and thrilling, though I love stories around that story :) Rasputin was a "holy man," and the other three involve The Vatican.
#blamelitsy for the books on the right. Just been on a barge holiday to Bath and I could have spent a fortune in the second shop! My role on the barge was 'duck spotter', hence the badge!
My introduction to Steve Berry. I've read it multiple times and still love it.
Tomorrow this room room will be transformed into a library and I can not wait!!! @Audiobookhead
