This is a coming of age story about a girl/woman who finds herself, her talent, her father, and her first love under the guise of a huge personal secret. Well written and not easily anticipated twists and turns even though you are rooting for her!

I jinxed myself!!!! Said I‘d never read a CL book that didn‘t suck me in and leave me hanging. Sad to say I found it. It was really nice but I think it was hard for me to connect to the characters and feel THAT PULL these books typically have. Didn‘t feel like their usual tone. Overall cute story though!
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
This is my favorite Christina Lauren book I‘ve read - their others have these “oh I‘m so quirky and loud so people don‘t understand or love me” main female characters. And while they can be fun to read, they are not relatable, and I found Tate, the female lead here, to be a pretty relatable character.
Their writing, as always, is compelling & the story well told. I would recommend this one to romance fans.
first book of 2022 👏🏼
If Christina Lauren writes it, I‘m going to read it. Not my fave book from this romance duo but very cute, good way to start the year. (says it wasn‘t my fave but still read it all in one sitting) and look how cute this cover is
I really enjoyed this second chance story, especially its setting on a film set. Great characters with interesting lives and perspectives really made it sparkle. Great fun! #BookspinBingo @TheAromaofBooks #romantsy

5 stars i really liked this book i thought it was a great read!!!
I‘ve read almost all of CLos books so of course I have this! I really love the cover too. I better get to it soon!
I‘m trying to reacquaint myself with my TBR while on a book buying ban for the month.

That giant stack beside the book is one being used to press flowers, but I do have stacks of books everywhere else as well!
Not my favorite book from this romance duo, but it made for an enjoyable, sweet palate cleanser on a lazy Sunday afternoon 🌙 3.5⭐️
4/5
You just can't go wrong with a Christina Lauren romance. The premise of the book made the first section of the book a little stressful since I knew something had to go wrong or else the book would have been called Once In a Blue Moon. I still enjoyed it all a lot.
I love Christina Lauren and I‘m working through all their books! (Fun fact: Christina Lauren are 2 friends who write books together and combined both their names!) Twice In a Blue Moon is up next. Can‘t wait for this one! I love books set in London. 💙
#JoysofJune update: Finished 3 more audiobooks and read a handful of comics.
Happy with my progress so far this year and excited to collect my mid year stats at the end of this month! After recently taking a peak at my Goodreads challenge, I‘ve decided to try to make a decent dent in my #100GraphicNovelsin2020 challenge. If I can finish 18 more books by the end of June, I‘ll have hit my yearly goal in just 6 months!💛
A successful first 36hrs of the #JoysofJune Readathon thanks to a serious lack of sleep.😴🥱 I managed to get a whopping 45 minutes of sleep before I had to get up for work this morning, but at least I managed to finish 4/9 audiobooks already. ☺️ Work is quiet, so hopefully I‘ll manage to finish off book 4 of the Wayward Children series. @Andrew65
This was probably my most least favorite Christina Lauren and I usually am 5 staring there books! I just couldn‘t connect with the characters.
Expand Your Horizons 2020 : Read a book with a color in the title.
Easy choice since I have auto holds on all of the Christina Lauren titles. This one was cute. The parental tension saved this do-over meet cute from being an overdone trope. I loved the movie script/historical references to strong spirited women in interracial marriages.
This felt... “undercooked”. The plot was flimsy, the relationship with both Sam and Ian was under-developed and the end just felt unfinished. I can‘t say any more without spoilers but, not my favorite. I really liked the cover though 😆
I guess you could say that #24B4Monday romance theme got me hooked!
I dont normally read romance novels, but I can‘t put them down now!
Doesn‘t help my love life is shit, so to immerse myself in a made up world is priceless 😂
Just got my library haul today and can‘t wait to dive into these books!
#currentlyreading Twice in a blue moon and LOVING it!
Up next, possibly The Unhoneymooners?! Suggestions?!
#litsyloveslibraries #libraryhaul #romance
#currentlyreading and coffee with my lucky glass!
Guess I need to bring this cup out after that brutal loss last night
AND praying Jumbo Joe makes a return to us!! He‘s my favourite and the reason I got into hockey
At the 2 hour mark for #24B4Monday 😂🤷🏽♀️
I had a concert Friday, so I‘m finally sitting down to read! Hoping for 8-10 hours today!
Really loving this book and this genre surprisingly!

2 hours to go until #24B4Monday starts in my time zone!
I am SUPER excited for this one! I am going to try and hit 24 hours for the first time!
Here is my #books stack for the #readathon 💜 📖
Since it is a romance theme, I‘m starting off with Twice in a Blue Moon which has been on my #tbr !
A sweet romance that transitions from a young adult story to a grown up romance. I really enjoyed it even though it wasn‘t as funny as my other Christina Lauren favorites.
Even though this is my least favorite Christina Lauren book so far it's still really good. I will say that I much preferred the beginning story line of their youth to the "after" but I was happy with how it all came together in the end. Any book by this duo is a safe bet for me and that's why they are always on my TBR. I just hope they continue cranking these books out!
I‘ve really liked every Christina Lauren book I‘ve read...but nothing could compare to my first (“Love and Other Words”). Until this.
It‘s true that a few of the characters could‘ve been fleshed-out a little bit more. But I just swooned, swooned, swooned.
The love interest is:
• A farmer
• A writer
• A stargazer
• A dreamboat with “mossy green eyes”
• A grateful & adoring son
• Earnest
• Conflicted
Someone scoop me up off of the floor.
“It feels dangerous to be this close to him, & not because I want him, or want him to want me — but because my body genuinely doesn‘t know how to react to him at all. I‘m cycling through a hundred feelings every minute. Am I angry? Indifferent? Happy to see him doing well? I think the fact that I never got to fall out of love with him — that I just had to keep moving forward...means that my brain & heart don‘t know the protocol here.”
“Marco is my calm, Mom is my home. Nana is my conscience, [and] Charlie is my wide-open sky, my free-dancing, stargazing, wild rumpus.”
“You mentioned me to your Mom?
“Yeah.”
“And?” He waggled his eyebrows. “What‘d you say?”
“That I met a guy named Sam.”
Playful disbelief took over his expression. “That‘s it?”
I hoped he couldn‘t see my flushed neck and cheeks in the darkness. “What am I supposed to say?”
“That I‘m handsome, and both talented with words and know my way around a farm.”
I dare you not to swoon. Perfect man, much? 💘
Starting on my #NewYearWhoDis list after this last bit of fluff. I promise. 🤞🏻
Bathing in a lagoon, brb.
I truly love Christina Lauren. This writing duo is magic and Twice in a Blue Moon proves it. I love the characters, setting, and just the whole story. It was fun to see a glimpse of London, small town living, and behind the scenes of a film shoot. Every time I pick up a Christina Lauren book, I can count on getting lost in an unputdownable story. I wish I had an endless supply of their books.
I was on an emotional rollercoaster with this one at times. The ending left me wanting just a bit more, however.
I guess it was bound to happen eventually, but this was the first Christina Lauren book that I‘ve read and be underwhelmed by. While it was pretty predictable overall, that I could live with. What I had a hard time with was the main characters making the same mistakes over and over. Sam and Tate were frustrating individually as well as collectively. And the ending, although it tied things up somewhat, still felt rushed and unfinished.
Looking forward to this one for awhile! Christina Lauren has yet to disappoint!
I decided to pick few books from my bookshelves and put them on my November TBR list. This is on top of my ebook ARCs. Hopefully I will be able to complete this challenge...well unless life gets in my way...again
Now cross your fingers and wish me luck 😉
got some donuts & a new book - still reading Ninth Hose & Erosion - but I've finished a few other books that I was reading today so feeling like something new
#readathon
A new Christina Lauren release is just about the only reason I‘ll take a break from spooky reads during the month of October. 🌘
