Story was not what I expected at all. Very touching and emotional read.
WOW! Beautiful, powerful, emotional, moving! Not what I was expecting in all the best ways. I never knew where this was going, I could never imagine how it would end. This book is about relationships, friendships, loyalty, destiny. It is beautifully written, it is thought provoking. You will cry. You will feel joy. "So be it. So let it be."
Dannie has a fantastic job interview, then accepts her bf marriage proposal, then #HitsTheSack; but when she awakens, she‘s in a different apartment with a different fiancé, and a different life. Loved this book

Not sure how I managed to finish 5 books and 2 of them were totally unplanned. I read the tagged book with encouragement from @Eggs It was good but left a bit of a hangover so picked up Incense and Sensibility to wash it away.
Loving Demon and will finish Bilbo‘s journey this week. After Demon will be The Marriage Portrait and am not sure about the rest.

Has it been it been on my TBR for 5 years? I don‘t think it‘s that old but it‘s been there awhile.
Really enjoyed this book. I thought it was going to be a light, fluffy read and it ended up being a beautiful story about love and friendship. A quick read but enjoyable.

Dannie and Bella have been lifelong friends. Now, both in their 30s, they have fantastic careers, loving boyfriends and are living their best lives. Bella, thinking she is pregnant, discovers that she actually has third stage ovarian cancer. The story couldn‘t get any sadder from that point on. I rarely cry while reading a book but, this one truly broke my heart. It was such a good book I would recommend it to everyonne.
Read in pretty much 24hrs so I guess I have to admit I was interested. I thought from the beginning it was going to be fluffy but as it turned out it wasn't. I didn't always like Dannie probably because 1) in a way I can self identify and 2) I feel the complete opposite and understand her personality from Bella's perspective. But she was real.
What would happen if we all caught glances of our futures?
Thanks for the Birthday Surprises!!! Y‘all sure know how to make a person feel good!!!! #LitsyLove
Oh my gosh. This one had me bawling in the airport. A reminder to thank God for good health. 9/10
No cats allowed on the screened-in verandah much to their annoyance. 😆 Happy Friday!
I found this read to be incredibly, incredibly sweet and touching which I wasn‘t expecting at all. I love a light read that isn‘t completely cliche + this was so well written. Go ahead and read it 💝
On to the next read. Very excited to start something with less chaotic energy + more lighthearted content 😊✨ Has anyone read?
I really liked the page distribution per chapter. Wasn‘t satisfied with the ending though 7.9/10
“Not because we are the same but because we fit, and because the more time that goes on, the more I cannot imagine my life taking place without you.”
“The thing about relationships it‘s not necessary to say everything.”
“I think sacrifice is in opposition to manifestation. If you want your dreams you should look for abundance not scarcity.”
"You mistake love , you think it has to have a future in order to matter but it doesn't…It matters only as it exists..love doesn‘t require a future” Dannie is a bold -Type A lawyer who has her whole life calculated down to every minute. Until the night of her engagement, to her long term boyfriend David, she visits the future in five years for an hour.
What a beautiful book 🥰 Not only was it written amazingly but the story itself had me hooked from the very start! ❤️ This was the perfect light summer read while being up at the lake 🌊📖
This is a love story, but it is not a romance. You think this is a story about one thing, and by the end realize it‘s something completely different. And yes, I ugly cried! I did grow weary during the middle-ish of the book wondering where the hell she was going to go with it, but I blame it entirely on the misleading synopsis. I will be reading more from Rebecca Serle!
This was such a page turner. I thought that the idea of the book was unique and it made me think about the way that I live my own life. 4/5
I enjoyed this a lot but felt it was maybe a bit overhyped. The ending bothered me because it wasn't a nice, tied-up ending. Sometimes I'm okay with that kind of ending and sometimes I'm not. In this case, I yearned for something different. More sad than I anticipated.
I did not know a lot about this book going in and I thought it was a rom com. It is not. It‘s about what happens in five years and what you expect may not always be what is going to happen. I loved this book. I don‘t even know if I can recover right now. The writing was beautiful and just the story. I highly recommend.
Surprisingly touching. Loved it. Loved how deep it was while being so light hearted at the same time. Such compelling characters and story
Finished Reckless Girls. Will be posting my review when I get back from dr appt. You were spot on about MC
Up at 6 to feed my cats and to finish Reckless Girls.
I read this from the library about 6 months ago (holds do come through) and loved it. I am reviewing it now because the author has a new book out called One Italian Summer and I have high expectations
I really enjoyed Serle‘s debut for adult fiction and am so glad that my book club picked this one to discuss later this week! I picked it up this morning and literally could not put it down! I didn‘t expect it to be as emotionally charged or to be more focused on friendship than romance. The characters and the New York setting came to life and I am really excited to hear what the rest of our group thought of it!

This one seems to be rather slow🐌🐌🐌
Liked to concept, but ultimately ended up disappointed with the protagonist. I always love a strong female friendship which felt like the saving grace of the book.
"Twenty-five. That's the number I count to every morning before I even open my eyes.” Rebecca Serle, In five years.

I had mixed feelings about this one but I liked how it ended. I really would have liked for the characters to have had more depth and the story more flushed out. But overall it was a good one time read
After starting the year off with a bang and knocking out 11 books in January I feel like I‘m coasting through February lol. This is my 3rd for February. Just starting this one so hopefully it will grab me and I will be back full steam ahead.
I loved that this was a love story focused on friendship.
You think this will be a certain kind of story, and then it turns into something else. Something deeper than I expected. It was a quick, compelling read. I got sucked in and was utterly surprised by the ending.
I liked how different it was to what I was expecting, but I waited for the big moment, only to have it sort of end right after. I loved the slow creep into the inevitable. Sad book and very quick; worth the read!
Interesting read, happy it didn't go the way I was thinking. Worth the read
Good read. Completely different than what I expected but definitely a book to read.
