Big day of bookmail today!
I get everything delivered to my grandparents and watching my Nana read the quotes on the box with a look like 🤔🤨 was both awkward and hilarious.

An odd book. If you find your way into the character dynamics, you‘re gonna love it right off the bat. Me, I had a tough time following the emotional arcs, which made it hard for me to fully connect with the characters and care who they were to one another. There are flashes of greatness, but they zip in and out until the end, when Neil finally decides how he feels about certain things. I‘ll read the sequel, but I won‘t rush to it. #gaymay
1. THIS IS THE BEST ICE CREAM EVER.
2. I dunno how I feel about THE FOXHOLE COURT. The first two chapters were so intense and immediate that I could easily see why the people who love it REALLY love it, but since then I‘ve found it a bit confusing. A lot of the characters have similar names, and a pretty high number of them are either psychopathic, apathetic, or performatively edgy. We‘ll see if I click with it in the back half. #gaymay

Most thrilling: The Haunting of Ashburn House
Most daunting: The Foxhole Court

Finally jumping on to the bandwagon. @Jack_of_all_Trades highly suggested it and I‘ve got to say, I‘m hooked!
Obsessed with the American pronunciation of Aaron…
Lowkey forgot and was wondering who “Erin” was 🤣
I somehow thought Rainbow Crate were doing a The Sunshine Court box but that in no way stopped me from ordering a new set of All For The Game books.
And it came with these bookmarks
😍
My ability to buy things online and then be genuinely surprised when things land in my mail box is unmatched.
Anyway, these dust jackets are pretty sexy (the OG covers are also terrible but even so)
The Foxhole Court by Nora Sakavic
Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
This is the first in the All for the Game series, and this series is wild. We‘ve got the normal sports, bad choices, and college, but then Sakavic throws in the mob. All of it shouldn‘t work together, but it does and so well. It‘s one I was surprised to like! CW: The series is like an intro to dark romance, so if violence squicks you, it may not be for you. Please review trigger warnings.
I changed my mind! I'm too excited for this trilogy to hold off reading it - I'm starting it now! 🤣 Chaplin approves of this decision! 🐱💕 #catsoflitsy #littenkitten #chaplin
I have been hearing about this series online for ages now, and have always been interested in it. A few days ago a new coworker was gushing about it and I decided I needed to jump on the bandwagon and start this series! 😂 I ordered all three, but I'm thinking of waiting until August/September to officially start it. It seems like the perfect series to add to my autumn tbr list! 🍁🍂
Have to say following the all for the game hashtag on Instagram rarely disappoints 😜 (for context, if you are not chronically online the “he‘s a (number) but (reason) is a recent trend on tiktok that has bled across to Instagram)
It‘s been several months since my last postcard photo - but these are finally off after hanging out in my bag for a… week?!
The Hot Cross Bun one made me 😂 a lot
When I tell you I didn‘t realise that this was about AFTG until I got to the tags… when not a single day has gone by since I finished reading it that I haven‘t thought about it 😳
Should I watch Euphoria? Does it live up to the hype?
Ahh, that‘s better!
(I bought new dust jackets for these books and I have no regrets)
✨manifesting✨ the new dust jackets I ordered for these arriving this week…
I ✨believe✨ in Australia Post… the tracking info ends in Sydney on the 18th September
*nervous laughter*
Have not stopped chuckling about this since it graced my eyeballs over on tumblr
As a human against putting carrots in cakes... this text post made me 😂
This is an unrealistic sports/mafia mashup that is exceedingly fun to read. I really want to keep reading to see what happens which is why I bought the second book immediately after finishing the first.
I had a hard time getting used to the writing, and I didn‘t expect the theme of the book to be so dark, but I enjoyed reading it. The characters are complicated and some of them are a complete mystery to me still, but I‘m very interested to know more about them and see how all this will play out. Definitely picking up the next book in the series.
Almost every Six of Crows and The Raven Cycle fandom account I‘ve seen on Instagram in the last few years is also fan of this series so I can‘t wait to dive in!
Did I just buy the books after I read them on kindle?! These covers are hilariously bad... and yet I‘M KIND OF OBSESSED... by a book about a made up sport, set in college with a team of very damaged young people that somehow also involves the mafia...
Read in February: I feel like I read mostly ebooks this month 🤣 which do impact on the end of month photo! 12 books read in total, I‘m staying just ahead of my goodreads goal... 3 books from the library, 3 off my shelf and 6 off the kindle... I‘m always saying I‘m bad at reading series and yet - February saw me read the 27th Stephanie Plum and the 31st Agatha Raisin... I read my #DoubleSpin but not my #BookSpin...
This is the year where I seem to be mostly reading tumblr recommendations and so far it‘s been great - probably not books I would have found on my own but it‘s good to step out of ones comfort zone once in a while. The cover art on this series is terrible and if the fan base had been less enthusiastic I would have kept scrolling without a second look. Who knew I‘d get so invested in a book with such damaged characters who play a made up sport?!
Is Neil a Sagittarius? Because he knew why he shouldn‘t have said anything but he got blinded by the 🚩 that is Riko.
I guess if one must hit a self destruct button why not do it on television? 👀
The first chapter had me like 😩🥺🤭
But I guess now I‘m invested.
Is this book filled with horrible characters and events? Yes. Does everyone in it desperately need some therapy? Also yes. Did I still absolutely love it? Hell yes. I‘m not usually one to enjoy well written characters who are horrible people just because they usually annoy me so much but this book was different. I don‘t know what it is about this book but I just couldn‘t stop listening to it.
has anyone read this?
it was $0.99, all over my tumblr dash, apparently “like reads” to the raven cycle (once i looked it up on my nook. sO I BOUGHT IT DUH
Any good??
Absolute favorite. Read the whole series in three days. But please look up trigger warnings for the series, might not be for everyone!
Wymack is the best dad to ever exist and you will not convince me otherwise
Guess who finally remembered they have a litsy to post this on
I thought this was going to be #romantsy and it wasn‘t. It‘s about a fake sport that is a hybrid of lacrosse, soccer and ice hockey, being on the run from the mafia & a whole lotta dysfunctional college students. It has a sort of cliffhanger ending. I‘m curious to see where book two goes. 🥍🥍🥍🥍
I love this book series! The characters that Salavic creates are so vivid and I love them all so much (even Riko). I'm so happy that these are becoming audiobooks. I feel like that fit the format well because they tend to be fast paced. I highly recommend for anyone that likes mafia stories. #favorite #mafia #audiobook
Just learned that this series is now on audio! Well at least the first one is for the moment. I read these last year and absolutely love them. I can't wait to listen to them!!!
How I am personally feeling towards Neil Josten right now after finishing the foxhole court he truly is too precious for this world. Also why have I started three book series one after the other when I start back at uni soon, 😅 why am I like this? Seriously though I‘m doing the same with Tv shows, it‘s a problem. Oh well I loved this book though 4/5 ⭐️
My first venture into ebooks, finally accepted I don‘t have the space to physically own all the books I read it‘s especially useful for genres such as thrillers which I‘m unlikely to re-read. I also feel encouraged to try a few biographies and nonfiction that I wouldn‘t typically buy, excited to get into a few of these and and am really enjoying the foxhole court and the first book is free on kindle so can‘t complain so far.
It was good but it took me along time to read.
OMFG I only got this book cuz it was free and goodreads was putting it all over my recommendations so I thought why not.. less than a week later and I‘m addicted to this series. The story is not a masterpiece but I just love those crazy ass characters so much!! Andrew looks and feels like one of my original charas so extra soft spot for that psycho midget 😍😅 already on book 2 now ✌🏻
This was such a fantastic book! There were definitely parts that felt completely unrealistic, but a book about college sports + the mafia + wonderful characters who are also kind of terrible people? Sign me up.
2017 was not a good reading year. It was the biggest reading rut of my entire life. 4 books all year & 2 were rereads. My writing suffered. However! I'm already almost finished with my first book of 2018 & I intend to set aside a dollar for every book I read this year, at the end of 2018 I will take the money I've saved to buy even more books & I've resolved to make this the year I finish the first draft of my novel! I have big plans for this year
How I love those books. They basically need a trigger warning for everything because all the characters had horrible stuff to deal with. But they're all so cute and need to be protected at all costs. Shipping Andreil forever
