It‘s rainy and all of my kids are scattered. My husband is at a basketball game. I having a #litsypartyofone (well, maybe two if the dogger counts), snacking on some gummy bears and listening to some tunes

pickRufus has an axe to grind against forced socialization and the characterization of serial killers and crazed gunmen as “loners.” Those people are, she argues, outcasts who seek social validation but do not find it. Loners are people who seek out time alone, often creative types. Some good, smart ideas here, unfortunately couched in angry writing, an “us vs. them” mentality that does a disservice to celebrating those who prefer time alone.
Forgot about #litsypartyofone so after my nap and starting laundry I finally got my coffee and my book going.

Finally got my bookshelf back from my preteen!!! It's been a great day
pickThis book was really great. Should be read by all loners. It is a nice validation that you aren't a terrible person. Was a really good look at loners in all aspect of life.
I love women who write! I gravitate toward books by women, often without even realizing it. Here's a smattering of all time favorites plus 2 I'm really looking forward to. #somethingforsept
